69 thousand copies were sold in the first week after the release of the album. USA Today wrote: "They have that same family harmony, powerful chords and sweet voices that bounce off the walls."

The changes before and after the release of the album for the trio were palpable. They sold out tickets to their shows much faster. And also decorated the covers of magazines for teenagers, many performances were organized.

As young pop stars, they were invited to make a cameo appearance on the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana on August 17. They played a duet with main star Miley Cyrus. The brothers participated in the first tour as the opening act for Cyrus in St. Louis.

In 2002 Nick co-wrote a song with his father Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer). The song was included on the benefit compilation Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols For A Cure. The composition became popular on Christian radio.

Joe Jonas followed his brother to Broadway, appearing in a version of La Boheme directed by Baz Luhrmann.

In 2004 Nick signed with Columbia Records and released his solo album Nicholas Jonas. It was later decided that Columbia wanted to sign the three brothers as a group.

Jonas Brothers: The Beginning

Unlike Hanson or other teen bands where siblings were bonded as a group, the Jonas Brothers didn't start out as a group, but as a solo act. It all started with one project of Nicholas' younger brother Jerry Jonas, born September 16, 1992.

He was noticed by Columbia Records. He immediately noticed the talent of the two older brothers. Namely, Joseph Adam Jonas (b. 1989) and Paul Kevin Jonas II (b. 1987).

Three of them began performing as a trio of Sons of Jonas. And then they got the more commercial name Jonas Brothers. All the time, their father booked them concerts and gave them money to achieve their dreams.

Their first album in Colombia, It's About Time, was released on August 8, 2006. And his first single Mandy quickly became successful, although moderate.

Mandy's music video was placed at number 4 on MTV's TRL. Meanwhile, on Disney radio, Mandy and Year 3000 were very well received. As they both topped the chart along with other singles like Kids of the Future and Poor Unfortunate Souls.

Despite all the achievements, the debut album failed to achieve significant success and peaked at number 91 on the Billboard Albums chart. The brothers soon left Columbia.

Then all the band needs is a new label, a different approach to music and determination. Shortly after going labelless, they signed with Hollywood Records where they immediately began work on their second album.

“When we signed to Hollywood,” Kevin recalls, “we told the label, ‘Hey, we have some demos of our songs that we’ve been writing for the past year and a half.’” They felt that it was right to immediately tell them about their confident intentions, that they are ready to immediately work on the next album.

Jonas Brothers was released on August 7, 2007. After the singles Hold On and SOS were released to chart success. The first single, Hold On, peaked at number 70, followed by SOS, which debuted at number 65.

Like most teenagers, the New Jersey band also made occasional television appearances. In 2007, the group starred in the television series JONAS. The release date on Disney Channel was expected in 2008.

Disney: Jonas Brothers dream come true

After the Look Me in the Eyes tour (2008), the Jonas Brothers made their Disney Channel debut, appearing on an episode of Hannah Montana and starring at Camp Rock alongside Demi Lovato.

This year has been a busy one for the brothers. They started another Burnin' Up tour to promote their third album, A Little Bit Longer. The effort amazed listeners, and in August of that year they debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.

The Jonas Brothers were nominated for Best New Group at the 51st Grammy Awards.

The film aired on Disney Channel on September 3, 2010. Then the Jonas Brothers did not release any new music. Although at the end of 2010 she took part in a concert in honor of Paul McCartney.

In August 2012, the band released several new songs during a reunion concert. These songs were to be included on their fifth studio album V. But the release of the album was cancelled. The Jonas Brothers announced their breakup in October 2013.

They then started solo careers when Nick released numerous solo albums and starred in several films. Joe led the DNCE group, while Kevin preferred to remain in the background.

The Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019, releasing a single under Sucker on March 1st. The single debuted at number 28 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. They are also currently writing new songs. Soon the listeners will hear them again.
