The performances of the group deserve special attention. The owners of powerful vocal data permeated with their singing from the first seconds. What charge the audience received during the performance of the girl group cannot be compared with anything else.

The history of the creation and composition of the Kittie group

To feel the history of the creation of the team, you need to remember Canada in the mid-1990s. It was then that drummer Mercedes Lander met a girl named Fallon Bowman.

As a result, this friendship grew into a strong creative union. The duet began to rehearse. Soon the girls presented to the public cover versions of the tracks of popular bands.

When Mercedes and Fallon realized that the sound they were getting was not ideal, they brought in vocalist/guitarist Morgan Lander and bassist Tanya Candler.

The new group responsibly started rehearsals. The girls honed their musical skills, and during breaks they paid attention to writing lyrics for the first album.

The creative path and music of Kittie

The presentation of the debut album took place in the late 1990s. The audience was pleasantly surprised by the work of the girl group. Firstly, at the time of the release of the LP, the girls had not reached the age of majority, so for many teenagers they became almost idols. Secondly, music lovers were surprised by the aggressive message that sounded in the texts of the compositions of the girl quartet.

Not without first losses. Almost immediately after the presentation of the record, Candler left the group. The girl decided to pay more attention to her studies. Soon her place was taken by Talena Atfield, however, on the released disc, Candler was still in the lineup.

After the warm reception of the debut album, the Kittie group went on tour with Slipknot, where they performed with the popular band "on heating". In addition, the band became a member of the Ozzfest'2000 tour.

Group in the 2000s

In the early 2000s, it became known that Bowman was leaving the brainchild. She found the strength to create her own project. The new group was named Amphibious Assault. Bowman's new brainchild was liked by fans. She fully managed to implement an independent project.

After Bowman's unexpected departure, Morgan Lander had to record all the guitar parts on the new Oracle LP by himself. After the presentation of the new studio album, fans noted a more extreme sound. Such changes had a positive effect on the sales of the album. In the first week alone, the "fans" sold out over 30 copies of the record.

The release of the new collection was not without a tour. The duties of the guitarist were taken over by Jeff Phillips, who served as a musical technician. After some time, Jeff's place was taken by Atfield. In this composition, the team recorded a mini-LP Safe. Fans and music critics received the novelty very warmly.

In 2004, the discography of the Canadian band was replenished with a full-length album. The new LP was called Until The End. It sold just under 20 copies in its first week. At that time, the band actively collaborated with the label Artemis Records.

A year after the release of the aforementioned record, the contract was terminated in court. The fact is that the company played dishonest games. She did not pay the musicians the agreed fee and violated a number of prescribed terms of the contract.

At that time, only the Lander sisters remained in the team. Aroyo left the group without complaint, which cannot be said about Marx. Fans didn't want to let the latter go, even starting a mini riot to get Kittie back.

Following the departure of important soloists, the band welcomed Tara McLeod and bassist Trisha Dawn into the line-up. In addition to the Lander sisters, Tara and Trish became the first official members of the team. In 2006, in the updated line-up, the group's discography was replenished with a mini-album. We are talking about the album Never Again.

Creation of the Kiss of Infamy label

In 2006, it became known about the creation of their own label Kiss of Infamy. Soon the name had to be changed to X of Infamy. The fact is that the members of the team received a letter from the company that owned the intellectual rights to the symbols of the legendary team Kiss.

A year later, a presentation of a new LP took place on their own label. The collection was called Funeral for Yesterday. After the presentation of the disc, the group went on a tour, in which the team visited South America. At that time, Ivi Vuzhik became a guest guitarist. Dawn was forced to leave the stage due to health issues. In 2008 Kittie went on a big European tour.

The presentation of the fifth studio album took place in 2009. The musicians recorded the record In The Black on the E1 Music label. The composition Cut Throat was included in the soundtrack for the movie "Saw 6". The fact that the track sounded in the film increased the number of fans of the work of the Kittie group.

According to a good tradition, immediately after the presentation of the studio album, the girls went on a tour, which lasted until 2011. Soon there was information that they were working on the sixth disc together with Siegfried Meyer. "Fans" enjoyed the new compositions of the I've Failed You compilation, the presentation of which took place in the same 2011.

Then the fans did not hear the group for 5 years. It wasn't until 2012 that the group announced a fundraiser for a biopic. Fans needed to raise $20.

In 2014, the Kittie group filmed a documentary that was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the group's founding. Fans who want to immerse themselves in the biography and behind-the-scenes life of Kittie can watch the film.
