The beginning of January 2015 was marked by an event in the field of industrial metal - a metal project was created, which included two people - Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren. The group was named Lindemann in honor of Till, who turned 4 on the day the group was created (January 52).
Till Lindemann is a famous German musician and singer. He wrote many lyrics for the compositions of the bands Rammstein and Lindemann, of which he is the frontman.
He collaborated with the groups Apocalyptica, Puhdys and others. As a poet, he published two collections of poems - Messer (in Russian) and Instillen Nächten. The cinematic career of the artist includes 8 films.
The history of the sensational project
The idea of creating a joint project arose in 2000. Then there was the first meeting of Till and Peter. Lindemann (then frontman of Rammstein) and Christian Lorenz (keyboardist from the same band) almost got into a fight with local bikers.
Peter Tagtgren managed to prevent the conflict. The creation of the project was delayed for a long time, as the musicians did not have time for it.
In 2013, the Rammstein group decided to go on a sabbatical, which allowed Lindemann and Tägtgren to start working together. The first work was given the name Skills in Pills. This disc was recorded over the course of a year in a studio owned by Tägtgren.
The disc began with the song "Lady Boy". Another song from the album That's My Heart was helped by a musician from the Netherlands, a keyboardist from the band Carach Angren.
The presentation of the new project was on Facebook exactly on Lindemann's birthday. The musicians themselves introduced themselves to the public as newlyweds.
A few months later, the song Praise Abort appeared, for which a video was later shot. The debut work took 56th position in the German hit parade. In June 2015, the Skills in Pills album itself was released, immediately taking a leading position in the chart.
Group at the peak of popularity
After the resounding success of the first album, Lindemann and Tägtgren decided to hold a series of concerts promoting the album Skills in Pills, and the band found success.
Over the next year, the musicians were engaged in creativity in their main groups - they recorded albums, performed with concerts.
The new joint creation of Till and Peter appeared on November 9, 2016. At the performance of Tägtgren's band Pain, the duet Lindemann performed Praise Abort.
The next significant event in the history of the group was the second album "Man and Woman (F & M)". It appeared thanks to the famous record companies Universal Music and Vertigo Berlin.
Many of the songs from this album reached the top positions of the German charts as singles, attracting the attention of new fans from all over the world.
The F&M album is based on five earlier compositions written for the Hänselund Gretel play, which Till Lindemann took part in during the premiere in Hamburg in 2018. These songs are: Werweiss das shon, Schlafein, Allesfresser, Knebel and Blut.
While working on the album, Till and Peter prepared a concert tour with a literary bias, dedicated to the book Messer, authored by Lindemann himself. The publication is a collection of poems in Russian.
Concert tour of the Lindemann band
The tour began in December 2018 in the capital of Ukraine and continued in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazakhstan, the cities of Siberia and Samara. The duo's performances were supported by the Pain group.
During the same period, the performers participated in popular television and radio shows, which led them to even greater fame among the general public.
Almost at the same time with the F & M album, a video clip was recorded for the new song Steh Auf, in which the famous Swedish and American playwright, director and actor Peter Stormare took part.
Over the five years of its existence, the group has released two voluminous albums: Skills in Pills (June 2015) and F & M (November 2019) and an EP Praise Abort (2015), consisting of remixes. Video clips were shot for almost all singles, the best of which are: Praise Abort, Fish On, Mathematik, Knebel and Platz Eins.
The Lindemann Group now
At the end of 2019, the musicians announced preparations for the upcoming European tour. Concerts were scheduled for February and March 2020.
In Moscow, Lindemann and Tägtgren performed on March 15 at the VTB Arena sports complex. They had to give two concerts on the same day due to the decree of the Moscow mayor to limit the holding of mass events exceeding the number of 5 thousand people.
The musicians appeared on the stage in a huge luminous bubble, and performed their songs in it. The visual side of stage work plays an important role for them and has a significant number of fans.
The concert was dedicated to the presentation of the group's second album, which is the pinnacle of creativity. While the duo's first disc was recorded in English, the F&M album contains lyrical compositions in the vocalist's native language.
If we recall the performance of the Hamburg theater Thalia, then we can say that it was he who influenced the latest Lindemann compositions, which sing about poverty, fear, cannibalism, death and hope. The single from which the album Steh Auf begins is written in the form of an anthem.
Till Lindemann's personal life
As fans say and write a lot in the media, Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda has been secretly dating Till Lindemann for two years now. Their acquaintance took place in 2017 in Baku, where they met at the Heat Film Festival. This unusual couple is often observed by journalists spending time together and is credited with having a joint youngest daughter, Tilda.
Svetlana even starred in the Lindemann video for the song "Frau & Mann", where Frau Loboda plays a worker at a glass factory. But, to direct questions in an interview about an affair with a world star, the Ukrainian beauty evades a truthful answer.
The Lindemann Group in 2021
At the end of April 2021, Lindemann's maxi-single premiered. The Blut compilation consists of only three tracks. In addition to the composition of the same name, the maxi-single was headed by the songs: Praise Abort and Allesfresser. The presented tracks are taken from the live studio album Live In Moscow, which will be released in May 2021.
In May 2021, the presentation of the live album of the rock band Lindemann took place. The disc was called Live In Moscow. The collection was headed by 17 musical compositions.
