Childhood and youth of Max Barsky

Bortnik Nikolai (real name of the artist) was born on March 8, 1990 in Kherson.

He received his secondary education, graduating from the Kherson Tauride Lyceum of Arts in his native city with a degree in "Artist". Having moved to Kyiv, he graduated from the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts with a degree in Variety Vocal.

Max Barskikh: music

Max got to the casting of the second season of the Star Factory-2 project in 2008. After successfully passing the casting, having performed two cover versions of famous songs, the following compositions got into the project:

- I Believe I Can Fly (composition by American artist Ara Kelly);

- Everybody (composition by American pop singer Britney Spears).

Then in the project they performed the following songs:

- "Dance with me" (composition by Russian rapper Timati);

- “For what” (composition by Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda);

- “It doesn’t happen like that” (composition by the Russian singer Irakli in collaboration with Savin);

- "Anomaly" and "Stereo Day" (compositions by Vlad Darwin);

- "DVD" (composition by Ukrainian singer Natalia Mogilevskaya);

- "You Wanted" (composition by Ukrainian singer Vitaliy Kozlovsky);

- "The Stranger" and "Baritone" (compositions by Piskareva).
After which he decided to leave the project.

Album "1: Max Barskih"

And already on December 20, 2009, the debut studio album "1:Max Barskih" was released.

In 2010, Max participated in the Factory. Superfinal. The project site became the place where the release of the track "Student" took place.

2011 was an unusual year not only in the artist's musical career, but also in the music world as a whole. Since he released the first clip with 3D effect in the territory of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the song Lost in Love. The video clip was shot by Ukrainian director Alan Badoev and part-time producer of Max.

In July 2011, the new track Atoms ("Killer Eyes") was released. The filming location for the video was Red Square - the main attraction of Moscow. And already in August, Max Barskikh pleased fans of his music with a video for the above-mentioned song.

In 2012, he participated in the National Selection of the Eurovision Song Contest from Ukraine. But he took 2nd place, gaining almost 40 points.

Album Z.Dance

Also in 2012, work began on the second studio album Z.Dance, which was released on May 3rd. All songs included in the album are mostly performed in English. But already in the fall of 2012, a reissue was released for the album.

Specially for the horror film festival ASTANA (July 1-3), a musical in the style of the horror genre Z.Dance was released.

In July 2012, a DJ set was held in Moscow for the first time in one of the central clubs Barry Bar. As the artist later said, it was very exciting for him. In addition to the fact that this is a completely new direction for him, he also performed not in front of his fans, but in front of strangers.

In addition to the selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Max participated in the next project “Factory. Ukraine-Russia” and played for his native country. On the project, he performed various songs, even a duet was performed with Vera Brezhneva.

On April 21, 2015, the release of the third studio album "According to Freud" took place. Every hour, every day, radio stations played one song from the album. Most of the compositions of the album were created in a slow style.

Album "Mists"

2016, perhaps, can easily be called the time when everyone learned about it. And Ukraine has become not the only platform for building and “promoting” a musical career. After all, on October 7, the release of the fourth studio album "Mists" took place. He was highly appreciated by fans, the songs were played by radio stations both in his native country and in neighboring countries.

Max Barskikh became a welcome guest at various venues. All festival organizers invited him to perform their favorite hits.

The combined video for the songs "Mists" and "Unfaithful", which became a hit not only in the fall of 2016, but also in subsequent years, has currently gained over 111 million views.


There are also clips for some more songs from the album: “My Love”, “Girlfriend-Night”, “Let's Make Love”.

In the same year, two singles were released outside the album:
- "Make it louder" (27 million views);

- "Half-naked" (20 million views, the single became the soundtrack to the film "Sex and Nothing Personal").

Album "7"

On February 8, 2019, the fifth studio album "7" was released, which includes 7 tracks.

The album immediately topped the music charts, occupying a leading position.

"Shores" and "Unearthly" are the hits of the album. Only these songs have clips from the disc. Fans got exactly what they expected. In terms of the style of the video clips, the album contains echoes of the 1980s.

Awards and the upcoming world tour of Max Barsky

The artist has a significant collection of all kinds of awards, every year he receives even more. He has received 29 awards so far.

Max Barskikh has a NEZEMNAYA world tour planned for 2020. Countries that are honored to host such an artist want to hear his new album and see a luxurious show. These are the States, Europe, England, Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Canada, Kazakhstan, even Australia.

Despite the pandemic, 2020 has been a very busy year for the singer. He delighted fans with the release of two records at once. We are talking about the albums "1990" and "With Max at Home". The collections contain lyrical and driving tracks. Barsky did not abandon the usual manner of presenting musical material.

In 2021, the singer presented the track "Bestseller". The singer took part in the recording of the compositions Zivert. A video clip was filmed for the video. Alan Badoev helped the musicians to record the video.

At the beginning of July 2021, Barskikh presented the single "Night Guide". The song is saturated with depressive mood and minor sound. Fans have already commented that "the song was recorded in the best traditions of Max Barsky."

In early February 2022, a new single was released. The track was called No Exit. The action in the musical composition takes place at a dance party, where the performer and other characters of the work “hung out for a long time”. Perhaps the mood of the children is increased by illegal drugs. For the first time, Max Barskikh decided to express his attitude to doping.
