The childhood and youth of the singer Maria Pakhomenko

Mashenka was born on March 25, 1937 in Leningrad in a simple family that moved from the Belarusian village of Lute, located near Mogilev. The girl from childhood pleased with a beautiful voice. She loved to sing, often doing it during lessons at school, receiving comments from teachers. 

Despite her interest in music, she chose a technical specialty and entered the engineering college at the Kirov Plant. Here, in the company of girlfriends, a singing quartet was created. The activity has become her hobby. After completing her studies, Maria worked at the Red Triangle factory.

Working in production, the young lover of singing did not forget to devote time to her hobby. The girls' team has been preserved since the days of the technical school, and Valentin Akulshin, a representative of the Palace of Culture named after V.I. Lensoviet.

In the new team, Maria met Alexander Kolker, who later became her husband and creative colleague, who had been with her all her life. He wrote for the young singer the composition "Shakes, shakes ...", which was used for the production of "I'm going into a thunderstorm." In 1963, performing this song, Masha gained her first fame. 

The girl achieved real success in 1964. This happened thanks to the song "Ships are sailing somewhere again." The charming composition sounded on the radio "Youth". This was already enough to conquer millions of hearts. The radio station decided to hold a competition for the best song. This composition is a sure winner.

Pakhomenko's creative life was based on collaboration with Alexander Kolker. Many other composers also wanted to work with her. The singer was regularly sent offers, which she considered with pleasure.

The popularity that she enjoyed in 1964 led to the fact that Pakhomenko's songs were recorded on records. Fans wanted to attend concerts with the participation of the artist. The singer did not always perform alone. Often Masha was a duet to Eduard Khil, who performed together with the VIA "Singing Guitars".

Popular recognition is considered the greatest achievement of any artist. There are no scandals in Pakhomenko's career. She easily achieved success, deservedly rested on her laurels. An important contribution to the creative destiny was receiving a prize at the MIDEM competition in France in 1968. The vocal performer also received the Golden Orpheus Award in 1971 in Bulgaria. In 1998, Maria Pakhomenko was awarded the title of "People's Artist of the Russian Federation".

In 2012, the daughter of a celebrity urgently took her mother to her. The 1970s star suffered from Alzheimer's in recent years. Natalya claimed that her father raised his hand to her. The press quickly learned about this family conflict. The scandal around the Soviet pop star only worsened her health. The woman was very worried about squabbles between relatives, the age-related disease worsened. 

Once Parkhomenko left the house and disappeared. We found it only the next day in one of the shopping centers in St. Petersburg. As a result of such a “walk”, the woman caught a cold and also received a closed craniocerebral injury. Natasha sent her mother to a sanatorium to improve her health, but she returned home with pneumonia. On March 8, 2013, the artist died.
