Masha Sobko is a popular Ukrainian singer. At one time, the girl became a real discovery of the TV project "Chance". By the way, she failed to take first place on the show, but she hit the jackpot, because the producer liked it and began her solo career. Masha Sobko's childhood and youth
The singer's date of birth is November 26, 1990. She was born in the very heart of Ukraine - Kyiv. The girl was brought up in an ordinary family. Her parents had nothing to do with creativity.
Sobko loved to be the center of attention. Masha caught the frantic pleasure of improvisation. She performed for grandmothers who were sitting on benches. Such concerts were also held at home. Parents supported the daughter's undertakings.
Mom decided to help her daughter discover her creative potential. Together with Masha, she went to a music studio, but after listening, she was told that her daughter had neither hearing, nor voice, nor charisma.
The disappointing verdict did not affect Masha's desire to sing. She developed her creative potential in the local central youth house. From that moment on, Maria realized that she wanted to sing and perform on stage, but already as a professional artist.
In 1997, Sobko was enrolled in a Kyiv gymnasium with in-depth study of foreign languages. She studied quite well at an educational institution, and was in good standing with teachers.
Masha Sobko's school years also passed as much fun as possible, but most importantly, they were "seasoned" with creativity. The girl took part in various music competitions. For several years, charming Masha sang in the choir "Joy". She performed sacred music in the choir.
During her participation in Joy, she performed immortal musical compositions Baha, Orff, Vivaldi, glitch, Mozart. She sang at the best concert venues in the capital of Ukraine, such as the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine, the National Palace "Ukraine".
After receiving a matriculation certificate, she entered the capital's National Aviation University. Maria chose the Faculty of International Information and Law for herself. Despite the choice of a serious profession, Sobko dreamed of only one thing. She combined studies and music, in the hope that someday she would still be engaged in creativity.
The creative path of Masha Sobko
The first popularity came to the artist in 2007. It was during this period of time that she took part in Karaoke on the Maidan. She literally "hypnotized" the viewers, since it was she who had the opportunity to become a member of the then-rated television project "Chance-8". By the way, Sobko became the youngest participant in the show.
Age did not prevent Masha's talent from revealing itself. She reached the final and was in the top three lucky ones. True, then, the victory did not go to her. Despite this, the artist declared herself as a bright and extraordinary personality. After some time, the producers invited her to take part in the last season of Chance.
In 2008, she fought other high-profile artists from the previous season. According to the voting results, Masha took 3rd place. The musical work "Stupid Love" literally "blew up" the radio station "Lux FM".
Around the same period of time, luck smiled at her. The fact is that she met Yuri Falyosa (one of the most influential producers in Ukraine). In 2008, Masha became the "Favorite of the Year" in the young talent nomination.
Participation of Masha Sobko in the qualifying round of Eurovision 2010
In 2010, the artist decided to declare her vocal talent to the whole country, and even the world. She applied to participate in the qualifying round of the Eurovision Song Contest. Masha shared the honorable first place with another Ukrainian singer Alyosha. Alas, they still entrusted the last artist to represent Ukraine.
Some time later, Sobko appeared on the set of the BOOM show. She defended one of the provincial towns of Ukraine - Zhytomyr. Her appearance in the television project caused a storm of positive emotions among the audience.
In 2011, she performed at the New Wave site. According to the voting results, Maria became the silver medalist. As it turned out, she entered this competition thanks to the patronage of Nikolai Rudkovsky, who is promoting young artists.
"New Wave" glorified Masha. They started talking about her as one of the sexiest participants in the international competition. The second place and the generous compliments of the judges motivated the girl to move on.
As a prize, the artist was awarded 30 thousand euros. Sobko admitted that she spent this money on travel and expenses for the competition. For the remaining amount - she shot the video "Thunderstorm" and organized a tour. The singer's concerts were held on the territory of Ukraine.

In 2013, she married Artyom Oneshchak. The wedding photo of the newlyweds was featured on the cover of the Viva magazine. The couple had a daughter in 2015.
The Ukrainian singer, after the birth of her daughter in April 2015, somewhat withdrew from creative activity. In one of the interviews she said:
“No one warned me that a child is not always easy. I will say more - it is always difficult. You walk constantly tortured and not getting enough sleep. You practically do not have free time, and you are always worried about the baby. And no one says it hurts. Not even the birth process (this goes without saying), but feeding. Now I think: everyone understands everything, but they are silent, ”Sobko laughs.

The creative break in the career of the artist was interrupted in 2016. The singer presented a fresh clip. We are talking about the video "Taxi". It is known that the work was directed by Sergei Chebotarenko, known for viral advertising for global brands. Soon the premiere of several new products took place. The tracks “New Year” and “Bilim half-moons” were warmly received by the audience.
In 2018, Masha's repertoire was replenished with the composition "You are mine". The singer presented the track in two languages at once - Ukrainian and Russian. By the way, this track has a special meaning for Sobko, because it is written about her life and reflects one of the artist's loves before marriage.
Today Masha Sobko is a member of the ZAKOHANI cover band. The guys of the group perform world hits of the 70-80-90s, as well as top Ukrainian and Russian tracks.
