Metox is a Russian rap artist who, over a short creative career, sat down to “make some noise”. He is the author of the most authentic rap album of 2020. By the way, Metoks dedicated a full-length LP to his time in prison (more on that later).
Childhood and youth years of the artist
Almost nothing is known about the childhood and youth years of Alexei (the real name of the rap artist). He was born on the territory of the provincial Nizhny Novgorod.
Unlike most “vanilla” stories about getting to know music, Alexei has the opposite. During her school years, she practically did not listen to rap works. After some time, the guy was given one of the tracks Gufa. And then ... "let's go."
He "kayfonul" from the measured rap of Alexei Dolmatov, and began to think about the career of a singer. He compared Guf's tracks with the new format of modern poetry.

After receiving a matriculation certificate, Lesha entered the Faculty of Philology at the University of Nizhny Novgorod. By the way, after graduation, he was arrested. In one of the interviews, he said: "In the morning for the court, in the evening - a diploma."
Debut album release and arrest of rap artist Metox
For some time he recorded tracks that resulted in the fact that the rapper recorded his debut LP. We are talking about the collection "Stamp Collection". Alas, fans cannot enjoy the sound of the record, since it is not available on streaming sites. The first tracks were saturated with lightness.
But, back to the question, what led to the fact that Metox went to jail. So, the first time he tried a light drug was in his school years. He was "inserted" by the result. Well, then everything is classic.
In 2015, he was arrested and sentenced to almost 5 years in prison. After 4 years, he was released on parole. He was tried under the article "International smuggling".
“I guessed that on that day I would be closed. I remember that I was returning home, I put the key in the door and felt that right now ... Then I vaguely remember that two fellow soldiers appeared with machine guns and in full gear. Well, at first I thought it was someone's bad joke. I remember that I even asked a question regarding the fact that I was being drafted into the army. But, behind my back I had a backpack, and in it I carried a lot of cool, forbidden things. Then came the opera. Well, it began - interrogations, searches ... ".
Alexey admitted that, once in places of deprivation of liberty, at first he experienced wild discomfort. Any newcomer was treated with prejudice by the convicts. According to the rap artist, if you behave "exactly", then there is nothing to fear.
In places of deprivation of liberty, Lyosha did not sit idle. First, he read a lot. And secondly, he worked on tracks for his album. Then he had no idea that he would "shoot".

For several years, Methox has been writing lyrics for future tracks. After his release, he recorded a demo. Around the same period of time, he was lucky enough to contact the creative association NVN prod. The guys liked what the rap artist created, and they helped him.
In 2020, the then little-known rap artist presented a cool thing. We are talking about the album "Notes from the House of the Dead". The tracks included in the collection were saturated with autobiographical moments, and this was so catchy for admirers of high-quality trap.

The album is definitely devoid of romance and lyrics - and this is where all its charm lies. There are a lot of songs about drug dealing and how it can end. Metoks was talking about places of deprivation of liberty, and he, as you know, knew what he was reading about.
The compositions included in the LP are text-centric. Metox sings metaphorically, caustically, satirically, funny (although there is little fun here). The criminal theme was accepted by the public with a bang, and for rappers Metox became "their own".
“I wrote tracks just on scraps of paper. I tried not to sleep, because I understood that if the cops find work, they definitely won’t like it. My lyrics were saturated with truth. I wrote down Russian words in English letters and everything went together ... ".
Then there was an acquaintance with Pasha the Technician. The guys presented the track Vi ebbu and the joint EP to the fans of their work. Metoks also participated in the recording of the track by the Kunteynir band.

In mid-January 2021, the premiere of the artist's full-length LP took place. The album was called "Zeks climb Tinder". With this collection, he kind of continued the criminal theme. Among the top tracks, we single out the compositions “Women's Rap”, “Sick”, “Nadya Tolkno”, “What Will I Do Today?”.
The record was incredibly warmly received by music lovers, which allowed the rap artist to start working on a new album. So, in mid-April of the same 2021, he replenished his discography with the LP "Knife". The only guest of the disc was the long-loved Pasha Technician. Metoks did not surprise the "fans" with a change of mood. The rap artist read about criminal topics. Fans, "broken record", did not embarrass, and even delighted.
Fans have been saying that Metox is not capable of surpassing the album that made him famous in 2020. We quote: “How wrong I was when I said that you can’t get a better album than Notes from the House of the Dead.”
But it's good to admit your mistakes. In the second half of 2021, a cool new product premiered. Metoks pleased his audience with the premiere of the LP "Yuryev's Day".
At the end of January 2022, a new studio album of the rap artist was released. The collection was called "A Hard Day's Evening". Note that the disc is named after a roundup of criminal news that aired on Nizhny Novgorod television.
