Talented Vladimir Kyzylov stands at the origins of MGK. During the existence of the group - the composition has changed several times. Including Kyzylov in the mid-90s left the brainchild, but after some time he joined the squad. The team is still working in the musical field. Among the new compositions, the tracks “We dance with the sea ...” and “Winter Evening” deserve special attention.

History of creation and composition of the MGK team

In the early 90s, Vladimir Kyzylov, musician Sergey Gorbatov, and Nika studio sound engineer Vladimir Malgin met to discuss the possibility of creating their own musical project.

The guys had good opportunities to “put together” a promising group. This was evidenced not only by experience, but also by numerous “useful” connections. In the end, they decided to create a team, which was given a simple name - "MGK". In 1991, the trio had not yet officially announced its existence, but performed the track "Hammer and Sickle", and a year later the group became a studio project.

The talented Anya Baranova joined the team in 1993. The singer's feature was a low voice. Further, the group was replenished by Elena Dubrovskaya. Together with Anna, she ideally presented the piece of music "Mistress No. 2" and even participated in the recording of samples. For some time, Lena took the place of a backing vocalist. By the way, after the fire in the Nika recording studio, Elena recorded her debut solo LP, Russian Album. The top composition of the collection was the track "Candles".

It is difficult to list everyone who was once part of the "MGK". According to the estimates of biographers, more than 10 artists passed through the collective. Those who once left the project are now engaged in solo work.

The creative path and music of the MGK group

After the line-up was established, the guys started working on their debut LP. The result of the work was the presentation of the album "Rap in the rain". The collection was mixed at the popular Soyuz recording studio. The tracks went with a bang to music lovers. In addition, the post-Soviet audience was pleasantly surprised that the songs were "seasoned" with satire and then not yet familiar recitative.

In support of the debut collection, the guys went on a long tour. The musicians did not waste time in vain. They were working on their second studio album. Fans, participants of "MGK", were promised to release a collection next year

The artists did not disappoint the expectations of the "fans". The second studio album was released in 1993. The collection received a thematic title - "Techno". It is not difficult to guess that the songs were performed in a techno style. The highlight of the LP was the lyrical mood of the compositions.

The record was warmly received not only by fans of the work of "MGK", but also by music critics. The collection was released by the Marathon and Soyuz studios. Clips were released for some of the tracks. This time the musicians didn't "pump up" the "fans" either. According to the already established tradition, they went on another tour.

Album "Lawlessness"

On the wave of popularity, the artists record the long-play "Lawlessness". The plate turned out to be very diverse. And it's not just about the music, it's also about the lyrics. For example, in the musical composition "Be with me" the most mysterious are the musical moves. The guys used samplers advanced for that period of time, computers, a Korg synthesizer and a number of other musical instruments no less “juicy” in sound.

Alexander Kirpichnikov, who at that time was already a member of the MGK team, loudly voiced memorized phrases in a foreign language into the handset, and the guys recorded them with a microphone. "I know, darling, your funk home siesta!" shouted Alexander.

Lyosha Khvatsky, another member of the group, conveyed the chorus in an unusual voice. The musical work “Be with me” was first released at the Marathon recording studio at the end of the first summer month of 1993. The presented track was performed by the artists at the rating show "Igor's Pop Show".

In the same year, the guys pleased music lovers with the information that they were working on a new studio album. In order not to let their audience get bored, the musicians toured a lot. Most of the MGK performances during this period of time take place on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The first track recorded for the new album "Route to Jupiter" was called One, two, three, four. The musicians started recording the collection at the end of 1994. It was released on cassette under catalog number SZ0317-94. The top compositions of the LP were the tracks “Dance with You” and “Indian Sex”. This is one of the most popular MGK albums. The collection sold well and from a commercial point of view it can be called quite successful.

Presentation of the fifth "anniversary" album of the group "MGK"

Longplay "Island of Love" is one of the most "dance" albums of the team. The guys ideally diluted the songs with rap and techno inserts. The album contained an old song from the debut collection. It's about the track "I've been waiting." The musical works "I was waiting" and "Heart" on the cover of the disc are deliberately mixed up in places. The record was mixed at Elias Records.

In the mid-90s, fans were shocked by the information that the Nika studio burned down in a fire. The team member had no choice but to move to the Soyuz company.

Since that time, Elena Dubrovskaya has been working on the vocal component of most of the compositions. In addition, the musicians decided not to experiment with sound. In most cases, they do not go beyond the "pop music" genre.

In 1997, the MGK discography was replenished with another LP. We are talking about the collection "Russian Album". The tracks of the collection were written by Vladimir Kyzylov and poet Sergey Paradis. The artists were guided by the voice of Elena. Almost all the tracks that were included in the collection became hits. Some compositions are still popular today - they are not only listened to, but also covered.

At the end of the 90s, the release of the disc “Say ′′ Yes! ′′” took place. The guys also presented video clips for the track “I will open the album”. The disc repeated the success of the previous collection. The tracks “Do not regret anything” and “I need you” deserve special attention.

In 1991, the artists said that fans would soon be able to enjoy another novelty in the form of a full-length studio album. In the same year, the premiere of the album "Once again about love" took place. Lyrical works performed by the MGK group - hit the music lovers in the very "heart". The guys filmed clips for some of the tracks.

In the same year, the premiere of the collection "2000" took place. With the disc, the band members seem to have summed up their work. Longplay led the group's top tracks since the creation of "MGK".

Creativity of MGK in the new millennium

At the beginning, the so-called "zero", the composition was replenished with a new participant. We are talking about a charming girl with a strong voice - Marina Mamontova. She instantly got involved in the work, and soon the guys presented a long play, which was called the "New Album".

Interestingly, there are exactly the same songs on this disc. The fact is that the track “This is not a dream” was recorded separately by Dubrovskaya, and the new member of the group, Mamantova. Critics noted that both singers have a strong, but completely different voice.

At the same time, the premiere of another collection took place, which consisted of the best songs of the group. Old tracks were diluted with several new compositions, which eventually became hits. We are talking about the songs "You forgot, I remember" and "Black Sea".

On the new LP "Golden Flowers" you can hear the vocals of the new band member. In 2001, Mikhail Filippov joined the team. He participated in the recording of the previous LP as a backing vocalist, but on the new disc, Mikhail managed to reveal the full power of his voice.

New items from the MGK group

The year 2002 was not without musical novelties. This year, the musicians have replenished the band's discography with the collection "Where is love now?". It is noteworthy that in this album Dubrovskaya was entrusted to perform only three tracks. The rest of the songs are performed by Filippov and the Volna band.

After the tour, the band members sat down to "collect" another studio album. A year later, they presented the full-length LP "Love you take with you ...". This time, Dubrovskaya was again entrusted with performing several tracks, the rest was taken over by Evgenia Bakhareva and Filippov. During this period of time, Stas Nefyodov and Max Oleinik, who later left for the Mirage-90 team, were also included in the composition.

In 2004, the artists pleased the "fans" with the release of another super-dance collection "LENA". The title of the album speaks for itself. Elena Dubrovskaya - recorded almost all the tracks that were included in the collection on her own. Kyzylov took over the recording of the composition "First Day of Spring". The album was received with a bang not only by fans, but also by music critics. The collection was included in the list of the most successful works of the MGK.

Presentation of the album of the best tracks "Mood for Love"

On the wave of popularity, the musicians will present another collection of the best tracks. The album was called "In the Mood for Love". The mix of styles and voices is the basis of the LP. The compilation includes tracks from 1995 to 2004.

In 2005, the musicians presented the collection Dreaming of Rain. Experts noted that this disc turned out to be even more danceable and incendiary than the previous one. Of the presented compositions, music lovers appreciated the song "Heart". Singer Nika took part in the recording of the disc, performing the track "Strange Evening".

A couple of years later, the premiere of the full-length studio album "At the End of the World" took place. The musicians worked on the collection for 2 years. In terms of sound, the songs of the LP turned out to be very unusual, different styles are intertwined in them.

Then for three whole years the group was lost in the form of "fans". Only in 2010 did MGK appear on the scene. The team held a number of concerts and took part in a number of television programs.

MGK Group: our days

In 2016, the premiere of two tracks of the band took place. We are talking about the compositions "We are dancing with the sea ..." and "Winter Evening". In 2017, the group turned 25 years old. The musicians pleased the fans with live performances and noted that they are working on new tracks.

After 3 years, they performed at the Stars of the 80-90s concert. On June 13, MGK took part in a concert dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of maestro Vladimir Shainsky, which was held in the Kremlin.
