"Mirage" is a well-known Soviet band, at one time "tearing" all discos. In addition to the huge popularity, there were many difficulties associated with changing the composition of the group.
The composition of the Mirage group
In 1985, talented musicians decided to create an amateur group "Activity Zone". The main direction was the performance of songs in the style of new wave - unusual and meaningless music.
But the guys did not manage to gain popularity in this genre, and soon the team ceased to exist.
A year later, the name "Mirage" appeared, and with it the style changed. Lityagin became a composer who, together with Valery Sokolov, wrote 12 compositions for Sukhankina.
But she performed only three songs, after which she refused to cooperate. The girl wanted to become popular and conquer the opera stage. She regarded performances on the stage only as a hobby.
From early childhood, Margarita was very interested in music. After graduating from a music school, she became a student at the conservatory.
The girl left the stage, until 2003 she worked at the Bolshoi Theater, from where she quit of her own free will.
Change composition
All this forced the head of the Mirage group to look for a good vocalist to replace Sukhankina. Natalia Gulkina was perfect for this role.
She sang in a jazz studio, was a virtuoso guitarist, was an author, was already married and was a happy mother. Despite these facts, Natalya dreamed of conquering the big stage as well.
Gulkina's meeting with the creator of the Mirage group was organized by Svetlana Razina, who a little later also became part of the popular group.
At first, Natalya seemed frivolous proposal for cooperation, and she answered with a decisive refusal. But Lityagin insisted, and soon Gulkina joined the team.
After that, the first disc was released, which instantly became incredibly popular among listeners of different sexes and ages.
6 months passed, and Razina joined the group. She worked at one of the enterprises, and after work she studied music, being a soloist in the Rodnik group.
Having started her career in the Mirage group, she 100% decided to connect her own life with music.
After all, there was recognition, constant tours began, the love of fans arose. But all this turned the heads of the vocalists, and in 1988 they decided to go on a solo "swimming".
Andrei Lityagin again began to search for a replacement, because then the group was on the wave of success, and he needed to be supported. As a result, Natalya Vetlitskaya joined the group, with the participation of which the first video clip was created.
Inna Smirnova also worked a little in the Mirage group. But later the girls also went into solo work.
Irina Saltykova came to replace them, and later Tatyana Ovsienko. At the same time, the latter ended up in the group according to an unusual scenario, because Tatyana held the position of costume designer, and she went on stage instead of the sick Vetlitskaya.
In 1990, the composition changed again, and as part of the Blue Light program, Ekaterina Boldysheva entered the stage. She stayed in the group until 1999, which is an order of magnitude longer.
It is a pity that by this time the popularity had already decreased, and the main reason was the crisis of the 1990s.
Group in the early 2000s
At the beginning of the XX century. Lityagin decided to revive the former glory and took three new vocalists into the group. They mostly performed old songs with new arrangements. Gulkina and Sukhankina were then incredibly popular performers and created a duet.
But they didn't have the rights to use the Mirage label, so they kept changing names. The guys performed not a single song that is directly or indirectly related to Lityagin and his team.
And soon the performers again began to work with the former producer.
But in 2010, Natalya and Margarita were at enmity with each other, which led to the departure of Gulkina from the team, and Razina was taken in her place. But this cooperation lasted a little less than a year.
In 2016, all rights were transferred to the Jam studio. Later, Margarita Sukhankina left the team. The reason was that the new management considered the creative ideas of the group to be inconsistent with the thoughts of the performer.

Lityagin preferred to use a soundtrack at concerts. Many vocalists changed in his group, despite this fact, during the concerts, the audience almost always heard the voices of Sukhankina or Gulkina. It was their debut album that became the phonogram.
The only participant who performed songs live on stage was Ekaterina Boldysheva. She had a unique voice, and she easily endured 20 concerts a month, working in tandem with Alexei Gorbashov.

After the Jam studio received the rights to the Mirage group, Boldysheva became the only vocalist. She continues to work with Alexei Gorbashov.
The team still performs to this day, traveling on tour in the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, as well as participating in concert events dedicated to the music of the 1990s.
