Romain Tranchart

The leader of the group, Romain Tranchard, was born in 1976 in Paris. He had an affinity for music from early childhood, and at the age of 5 he began attending piano lessons, studying this instrument to perfection.

He studied quite well and dreamed of becoming like his idols. The first idols were such famous composers as Bach and Mozart.

Over time, his musical tastes have changed significantly. At the age of 10, he preferred jazz artists such as John Coltrane, Miles Davi, Charly Parker, etc.

Around this time, his family moved to Mexico. Having stayed there for a very short time, the parents decided to move to Algeria, where they also could not stay for a long time.

At the age of 12-13, the family moved to Brazil, where Romain lived until the age of 16. All the time, Romain did not stop improving his piano playing skills, and also began to intensively learn to play the guitar.

In 1994, Romain Tranchard returned to France. His attraction to music becomes not just a youthful hobby, but a real profession. He decided to join the rock band Seven Tracks and play in its lineup.

Alas, he stayed in the Seven Tracks group for a very short time, because after several concerts in modern Parisian clubs, the group ceased to exist.

There he studied percussion instruments, the skill of playing the guitar and bass guitar. He also devoted much of his time to writing music, creating his own masterpieces.

Creating a Modjo Group

Two self-confident young people who have been fond of music since childhood and studied at the American School of Modern Music, immediately after they met, found common interests in musical directions.

Within a few months, they decided to form the Modjo group and began recording their own music. Their joint creation was the composition Lady (Hear Me Tonight), as well as such world singles as: Chillin ', What I Mean and No More Tears.

Public recognition did not come immediately. Only in 2000, the composition Lady was recognized as a hit and it was triumphantly broadcast by numerous radio stations.

She has received gold and platinum certifications from many of the world's recording industries. This masterpiece sounded at all stages of modern dance clubs in Europe and was recognized as the "anthem of the summer."

The most interesting thing is that the track Lady became a worldwide hit, despite the fact that there are no choruses in it, and all three verses of the composition are similar. The Modjo group after the release of the hit became popular and recognizable.

Unfortunately, the group did not last long. For all the time, Romain and Yan were able to record only one joint album, which was released in 2001.

After creating the single No More Tears, both musicians decided to start their solo careers. The last single of the famous band On Fire was released in 2002. Since that time, the Modjo group has ceased to exist.

Professional musician Romain Tranchart tried himself as a producer and started creating remixes for many famous artists such as Res, Shaggy, Mylène Farmer. At the same time, he did not forget about his own solo projects.

Jan Denstagnol continued to write music and songs. He released the album The Great Blue Scar, which was very popular in France and other countries of the world.
