In October 1965, a future celebrity was born in Kinshasa (Congo). His parents were an African politician and his wife, who has Swedish roots. In general, it was a large family, and Mohombi Nzasi Mupondo had several brothers and sisters.
How was the childhood and youth of Mohombi
Until the age of 13, the guy lived in his native village and successfully went to school, simultaneously enjoying all the delights of life, but when he was 13 years old, the situation in the country began to heat up and another military conflict was brewing.
Therefore, together with the brothers, the guy was sent to Stockholm. Parents made this decision so that their children could get a decent education and not see the full severity of wartime.

The guy received his secondary education at Rytmus Music High School, where he played in the local theater. Then he entered the Royal College of Music, after graduating from this institute he received a degree.
Together with his brother Mohombi, he regularly performed in nightclubs, which led to the formation of the duo Avalon. The main direction was the performance of hip-hop compositions to incendiary African rhythms.
Surprisingly, the formed musical group was able to win several significant awards, record dozens of popular hits, even work with personalities such as Bob Sinclair and Mohamed Lamin.
The duet "Avalon" was invited to many festivals, but in early 2009 the brothers decided to separate, and Mohombi built a solo career.
The beginning of an independent path of the artist
At the end of May 2010, the performer recorded the first track together with the famous rapper Kulego, who took the pseudonym Lazee. The song was an instant Top XNUMX hit on Swedish radio.
After that, the guy went to conquer Los Angeles, and first of all he began to improve his English. In America, Mohombi met the famous producer Nadir Hayat.
After listening to several records, he offered the musician a collaboration, as a result of which a new composition, Bumpy Ride, was released.
Then several more compositions were released, and in 2011 Mohombi created his debut album, which was nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards.
At the ceremony, Mohombi met many people from the music industry and received several awards, further popularizing his own work.
