Mr. Credo is a secretive person. He tries to avoid television and radio. On stage, the singer always appears in his stage image - black glasses and a white oriental keffiye. Mr. Credo hid his appearance for a very long time.

Childhood and youth of Alexander Makhonin
Mr. Credo is the creative pseudonym of Alexander Makhonin. The young man was born on November 22, 1971 on the territory of Ukraine.
However, he spent his childhood and youth in the Urals, where the family moved almost immediately after the birth of Sasha. Parents raised their son in strict traditions. Father dreamed that Alexander would make himself a military career.
But Makhonin Jr. had other plans - as a teenager he became interested in music, so he dreamed of performing on the big stage. Makhonin's parents could not be persuaded.
In the early 1990s, the young man became a cadet of the Perm Higher Military Command and Engineering School of the Red Banner Strategic Missile Forces named after Marshal of the Soviet Union V. I. Chuikov.
History of creation Credo
Alexander had to change his plans for a while. But soon Alexander and his friend Sergey Morozov became the founders of the Credo team. The new team quickly settled into the creative environment.
In a short period of time, the artist had the first fans. The group performed at various venues and music festivals, which made the guys recognizable.
When the fans heard the name of the band, they immediately applied the translation from Latin. But Alexander himself says that there is no need to look for a deep meaning in the name.
Just Sasha's beloved girlfriend adored the Credo perfume of the Latvian brand Dzintars and often called her boyfriend "my Mr. Credo." Makhonin was so accustomed to such a nickname that he decided to use the name as a creative pseudonym.
Alexander independently put himself on his feet. The young man did not have a significant amount of money, a recording studio and producers behind him.
The only advantage of the performer is the presence of good friends who have done everything possible to ensure that the star Mr. Credo caught fire.
Creative path and music Mr. Credo
Already in 1995, the band presented the first album to fans, which received the laconic name "Harmony". Then the soloists of the group took part in the filming of the pilot release of the musical program of Tabakov Jr. "Pilot".
In addition, the musicians won the "10 points" competition and received the "People's Choice Award" as a bonus. A few days after this joyful event, the guys presented two video clips at once, “The Girl is Dancing” and “The Girl-Night”.
As it seemed to the fans, things were going well. And what was the surprise of the “fans” when in 1996 they learned that the Credo group had broken up.
This event disappointed the fans, but at the same time gave a significant development to the professional growth of Alexander Makhonin.
Alexander changed the concept of the image. In addition, he moved from dance lyrics to an eclectic genre - a modern techno-rave with elements of ethno and the East. Already in 1996, the musicians released several independent tracks: HSH-Bola and "Let's Lava!".
Mister Credo in politics
There was no politics. Then the musicians were presented with good fees, so Alexander decided to seize the moment and take part in the pre-election round “Vote or lose!” Boris Yeltsin.
Oleksandr later confirmed that the main motivation for taking part in the election round was financial support. The political component of the tour was the least of his worries.
In the same year, the performer performed "on heating" with the popular band Bad Boys Blue. The performance took place in the popular concert hall "Cosmos".
In 1997, the artist went on his first large-scale tour of the Far East and neighboring countries.
Album Fantasy featuring Olesya Slukina
Also in 1997 Mr. Credo started recording the album Fantasy. In this collection you can hear the voice of Olesya Slukina. It is interesting that the female parts of two records of the performer are written in the voice of a woman: Fantasy and Wonderful Valley.
Olesya is from provincial Yekaterinburg. The girl successfully graduated from the music school. Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and after training she got into the troupe of the Variety Theater.
Olesya's voice is divine. She repeatedly received first place for "pop vocals". Together with Mister Credo and Olesya Slukina in the late 1990s, several more artists performed - dancers Slava and Nadia.
Album Fantasy music lovers could hear already in 1997. The fact that the record is a real find is evidenced by the number of sales. The album has sold over 3 million copies. This included only original compilations, not pirated versions.
1997 can be safely called the period of Mr. Credo. Music lovers of that time appreciated the tracks: "Mama Asia", "Lambada", "Orphan", "Technomafia", "Snow".
In 1998, the singer presented video clips for the tracks "Mama Asia" and "Cosa Nostra". Filming of clips took place on the territory of the United Arab Emirates.
Alexander Makhonin in an interview said that the secret of his popularity lies in the fact that he sings about topics close to ordinary people.
Interestingly, Mr. Credo has always liked the repertoire of Boka Bakinsky, who opened the Caucasian chanson to the listener.
In 1998, the artist's discography was replenished with a new album, Golden Time. At the same time, music lovers met with another one hundred percent hit - the track "Balloon".
A year later, the singer began work on the collection Wonderful Valley. The album was officially released in 2003.
A year after the release of the collection Wonderful Valley, Mr. Credo moved to the very heart of Russia - Moscow. It was here that another album by the artist "Nouveau Riche" was released.

In 2005, Rano Kubaeva's feature film "Wonderful Valley" was released. The soundtrack for the film was a composition from the repertoire of Mr. Credo. In addition, fragments of the singles "Mama Asia" and "Crying Asia" sounded in the film.
In 2000-2005 was the peak of Mr. Credo. In 2005, the musical composition "Slow" was in the rotation of the radio station "Russian Radio.
For 27 weeks, the track managed to hold on to the 1st position of the music hit parade. In 2006, the artist was awarded an award for the song "White Dance". In addition, the singer took part in the Golden Gramophone gala concert in the Kremlin, Alma-Ata and St. Petersburg.
Alexander did not stop at the achieved results. Soon the performer became the founder of the "Mister Credo Producer Center" and the record label SANABIS records. This joyful event happened in 2006.
In 2007, the singer presented the tracks "K.L.Y.N." and Mimosa. And already in 2008, the artist's discography was replenished with an album with the tasty name "Chocolate". Most of the tracks of this collection were played on the local Russian radio.
In subsequent years, the singer did not release albums. However, Mr. Credo did not forget to please the fans with new tracks. Soon he presented the songs: "Blue Eyes", "Blue Pit" and "Grozny City".
With the participation of the singer Sher Khan, Mister Credo recorded the songs: “War”, “My Angel”, “Friends”, etc.
The personal life of an artist
Compared to other representatives of the Russian stage, the artist's personal life is very boring. The man did not have fleeting romances, he did not start romances with colleagues and bypassed all kinds of intrigues.
A little later it became known that Alexander has a son who was born in 1995.
Then the singer's family had to share the area with the parents of his wife Natalia, but soon the family's financial situation improved, and the couple moved to their own housing.
The son of Alexander is endowed with vocal abilities. The singer mentioned that from early childhood he tried to instill in his son a love of music. Son of Mr. Credo has already recorded the debut track. The father wants to promote his son to the European stage.

Mr. Credo rarely pleases fans with new musical compositions. However, this in no way affects the popularity of the singer. Alexander travels with his program around Russia, and also participates in music festivals.
In 2017, the presentation of the new track "Vasya Brilliant" took place. Mr. Credo dedicated the song to the legend of the criminal world Vasily Babushkin.
"Fans" still hope for the release of a new album. This is evidenced by numerous comments under the old hits. In 2018, the performer presented a new arrangement of the track "Chui Valley".
In 2019, Mr. Credo appeared at several music festivals that were dedicated to the biggest hits of the early 2000s.
There is no performance schedule for 2020. It is likely that the tour had to be postponed due to the current situation in Russia.
