Nagart is a Moscow punk rock band that dates back to 2013. The guys' work is close to those who prefer the music of "King and the Jester". The musicians were even accused of similarity with this cult group. At the moment, the artists are sure that they create original tracks and they cannot be compared with the compositions of other bands. Nagart's tracks are imbued with notes of Scandinavian and ancient Greek mythology.
The history of the creation and composition of the Nagart group
It has already been noted above that the group was formed in 2013 on the territory of Moscow. The talented Alexander Startsev stands at the origins of the team. By the way, this is one of the few "oldies" who remains true to the team until now. He is in charge of music and songwriting.
Initially, Nagart was created in memory of the legendary band "Korol i Shut". The guys did not build grandiose plans. They planned to hold only one concert, but later, everything went too far. Team members began to make plans for the further development of the project. After a couple of years, the team began to replenish with permanent members.
In 2015, Sergey Sachli, Alexey Kosenkov, Alexander Vylozovsky and Igor Rastorguev joined the team. After some time, the team was replenished with new members. They were Sergei Revyakin, Mikhail Markov and Alexander Kiselev.
As it should be for almost every group, during the existence of Nagarth, the composition changed several times. For example, in 2018 Evgeny Balyuk and Sergey Malomuzh took the places of some musicians. The name of the group is formed from the merger of the two mythical ships Naglfar and Argo.
Nagart's creative path
At the beginning of their creative journey, the musicians delighted fans with a skillful performance of the tracks of the Korol i Shut band. The audience attended concerts with pleasure, so the guys decided to develop further. A year later, the artists presented their own single, which was called "The Witch".
Unexpectedly for fans a year after the founding of the project - they take a creative break. During this time, the leader updates the composition. The well thought out plan worked out well. Tracks began to sound even more driving.
In 2016 in St. Petersburg they hold a solo concert. A warm welcome from the audience motivates to expand the geography of concerts. The musicians tour practically all over the Russian Federation. They do not deny themselves the pleasure of attending rock festivals.
A year later, they became special guests at a concert dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Gorshenev. Then they performed at the Wind of Freedom festival.
Presentation of the band's debut album
The most important gift was waiting for the fans at the end of 2018. This year, the band's discography was replenished with a debut album. We are talking about the record "What the dead are silent about." In support of the collection, the artists organized performances in one of the Moscow institutions.
Nagarth did not expect such a warm welcome. The album was appreciated not only by fans, but also by music experts. The highest award for the artists was the recognition of the musician of the KiSh group Sergey Zakharov. The rocker called "Nagart" the best team performing in the punk rock genre.
In 2018, they traveled around the Russian Federation with their concerts. Around the same period of time, the premiere of the video for the track "Metro-2033" took place.
Each concert of the group was attended by an unrealistic number of spectators. According to the members of the band, it was hard for them to believe that dozens of music lovers would once attend their performances. In the same period of time, they performed at the Sound Sea festival. Then they said that they were working on tracks that would be included in the second studio album.
In 2019, the team's discography has become richer by one more LP. The new record was called "Secrets of the Werewolf". The album repeated the success of the previous collection.
Nagart: our days
In 2019, in support of the released album, the musicians went to concerts in major cities of the Russian Federation. In 2020, they managed to hold a concert in Moscow. The guys were forced to postpone part of the planned performances due to the coronavirus pandemic and all the ensuing consequences.
In 2021, a new solo guitarist named Vlad joined the band. In the same year, the guys announced the release of a new EP. Now they are actively raising funds for the recording of the video.
