Pasosh is a post-punk band from Russia. Musicians preach nihilism and are the "mouthpiece" of the so-called "new wave". "Pasosh" is exactly the case when labels should not be hung. Their lyrics are meaningful and their music is energetic. The guys sing about eternal youth and sing about the problems of modern society.
The history of the creation and composition of the Pasosh group
The well-known musician and singer Petar Martic stands at the origins of the collective. He is also known to young people as the frontman of the Jump, Pussy group. In 2015, Petar, in one of his interviews, said that the Jump, Pussy team would most likely have to be disbanded soon. This project, from a commercial point of view, cannot be called successful. Despite loud statements, the band's musicians continued to tour actively. Fans regarded the musician's statements as nothing more than a “stuffing” to attract attention.
In 2015, Petar presented a new musical project to fans of heavy music. Martic presented the Paso team to the public. Long before creating the line-up, the frontman decided that the group would work in the directions of grunge, punk and garage rock.
Petar got the place of vocalist and guitarist. Kirill Gorodniy (a former classmate of the frontman) also plays the guitar. Martic has been looking for a drummer for a long time. Soon the talented musician Grisha Drach took over the installation.
After the final approval of the composition, the musicians began rehearsals. The band's frontman said the following in an interview:
“For a long time I could not get used to the fact that you need to reckon with the opinions of the other members of the team. Previously, I always played without listening to my colleagues, and in principle I got good work. But now we are a team, and I listen to the opinion of Cyril and Grisha ... ".
The process of writing tracks has become more meaningful. The guys worked on a large site, so everyone took the issue of creating tracks as seriously as possible. Petar said that at that time they had a spirit of collectivism. Each member of the group had the right to vote.
Petar Martic
The authorship of the name of the new group is attributed to Martic. He is still considered the leader of the team. Petar is Serbian by nationality. He studied abroad, but soon returned to the territory of the Russian Federation. By the way, the word "pasosh" in translation means "passport".
The first mention of the team appeared on social networks. Then the musicians of the Pasosh group began to storm various concert venues and music festivals. In 2016, the musicians appeared at the popular Motherland Summer festival. Actually, from that moment on, fans of heavy music and colleagues on the stage began to be actively interested in newcomers.
The creative path and music of the Pasosh group
In 2015, the first large-scale concert of the new band took place. It took place on the territory of the Baltic States and in several Ural cities. This period of time is marked by work on the debut LP. The discography of the group was replenished with the disc “We will never be bored”.
The first creation of the musicians received a mixed reaction from the public. Critics said that the tracks sounded "raw and dirty". The only advantage of the work was the melodic sound of the guitars and the integrity of the LP. The musicians sang of youth and all the positive moments of this wonderful period.
The group paid for the recording of the record on their own. To save money, the musicians performed at the Vinyl youth festival. The release of the debut LP marked the beginning of a completely different page in their creative biography. After the release of the record, the guys began to be invited to large venues. The musicians became successful.
Critics began to accuse the new group of the fact that the popularity of the Pasosh group is the merit of the Jump, Pussy team. After all, the latter had already formed an audience of fans. The musicians disagreed with this statement. Each interview they said: "We blinded ourselves."
The work of the Pasosh group was different from the repertoire of Jump, Pussy. The lyrics finally made sense, with a significant amount of swearing cut down, and a more professional sound.
Among the early tracks, music lovers noted the composition "Russia". The new band sounded serious and the title of the aforementioned song spoke for itself. A quote from her: "I live in Russia and I'm not afraid."
The musicians presented their debut LP at the Ditch nightclub. Musicians and fans drank delicious alcohol, listened to bright tracks. And then everyone went for a walk along the embankment.
The composition "Mandelstam", which was included in the collection, the musicians dedicated to one of the districts of Moscow. In this secluded place, Petar and Kirill loved to walk at school age. By the way, friends still love to walk, come to this place. Today, this inconspicuous area gathers "fans" of the Pasosh group.
New album
In 2016, the band's discography was replenished with another album. We are talking about the plate "21". Music critics perceived the new LP more enthusiastically. They noted the "growing up" of the musicians.
The tracks that were included in the second studio album perfectly conveyed the general mood of the band members. Almost every composition described events from the life of the soloists of the Pasosh group.
Interestingly, Cyril composed the composition “All My Friends” on his own. The following event inspired him to write the track:
“Once I was at my friend's birthday party. It was so much fun that I wanted thrills. I had a hard time with alcohol, had a fight with a girl, broke dishes and fell down the stairs ... ”
In support of the second studio album, the group went on a tour of the Russian Federation. The musicians visited both metropolitan areas and small towns. Cyril in an interview said that once they performed in a hall in which there were about 50 people.
A year later, the musicians presented a new LP to fans of their work. We are talking about the disc "Every time is the most important time." The guys continued to touch on the topic of youth. The highlight of the collection is high-quality digitized sound. The LP included 12 tracks. Among the compositions, music lovers noted the song "Party".
The musicians dedicated the composition “You don’t have to be better” to people who make every effort to please others. According to Petar, such people are simply afraid of loneliness and are content with little attention.
And musicians also say that they do not have a favorite musical genre. For example, in the evening, guys can listen to classical music, and in the morning they start with rap.
Musicians try to rehearse every day. In addition, they draw their own performance posters. The guys are not involved in other jobs. Their main occupation is work in the Pasosh team.
The Pasosh team at the present time
In 2017, the presentation of the single "Party" took place, in the recording of which Oleg LSP took part. The work was very warmly received not only by numerous fans, but also by music critics.
It turned out that the novelties from the Pasosh group did not end there. The guys were ready for experiments, so they soon presented the track "Summer" (with the participation of Antokh MS). The song was performed at the Jagermeister Indie Awards. In general, the novelty was warmly received by fans and online publications.
2018 turned out to be no less productive and full of bright news for the guys. Soon it became known that the group would go on tour with the concert program "More Money". Around the same period of time, the musicians visited the popular festival "Pain" and Freaky Summer Party in the capital of Belarus. Then it turned out that the musicians were taking a temporary break.
The silence broke after a year. In 2019, the group's discography was replenished with the studio album Indefinite Vacation. Fans were delighted with the news. But still, many were perplexed by the announcement that the group would disappear for a while. The Pasosh team toured almost the entire year of 2018 and continued the tradition in 2019.
The musicians prepared for the meeting with the haters. They presented to the envious an interesting composition with the loud name “Wipe off”. This trick only increased interest in the musicians.
The discography of the group was replenished in 2020. The fact is that the bands "Pasosh" and "Uvula" released a joint LP "I'm coming home again."
The album was released on the Homework label. The basis for recording the collection was jokes with a "trick". The musicians did not plan to record a joint album, but after talking they thought: “Why not take a chance?”. Longplay was appreciated by the "fans".
Concerts that were scheduled for 2020, the musicians were forced to reschedule. The guys were dissatisfied with the position of the artists in connection with the coronavirus infection. Most likely, they will play the tour as early as 2021.
