Pavel Zibrov was born on June 22, 1957 in the village of. Chervonoe, Nemirovsky district, Vinnitsa region, in the family of a worker and a teacher. The parents of the future singer met in the post-war years.

Zibrov's father was a paratrooper, was twice captured, but was able to escape. When he reached the village, he met a girl who eventually became his wife. The couple raised two sons - the eldest Vladimir (b. 1954) and the youngest - Pavel.

In the family, the boy was instilled with a love of music from childhood - his mother played the guitar and sang beautifully, his father masterfully owned the balalaika, his older brother Vladimir pleased him with playing the button accordion, and little Pasha played the tambourine and whistle. Later he also mastered the button accordion.

The family often arranged a home theater, for which my father built a small stage, and my mother sewed costumes. With the whole family, they performed not only at home, but also at various holidays in their village.

In order for Vladimir to be able to study music, his mother had to take him to a teacher 30 km away, in the district center of Gaisin. Pavel was more fortunate - when it came time to enter a music school, a teacher came to his village, from whom he took classes twice a week.

The first two classes of high school, the future musician studied in the village. Chervonoe.

Then the mother took the boy to Kyiv, where he was accepted out of the competition to the musical special boarding school named after. N. Lysenko for talented children. At first he studied in the cello class, and later was transferred to the double bass.

Music school teachers instilled in the future star a love for classical music - Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky.

Teen love for the Beatles and Chicago was stronger at the time. They inspired Pavel and his ninth grade friends to create their own vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA Yavir). Since the stage was banned at school, the guys went to the basements to play their favorite music.

The guys approached the creation of the team very responsibly, in addition to the standard composition of the VIA: keyboards, guitar, drums, a violin and wind instruments were also organized. The group performed only those works that were written by the participants themselves. They also did their own arrangements.

Soon the guys began to perform on dance floors. At that time, the stage of the House of Creativity of the aircraft factory was considered the most prestigious of them, and the right to play there still had to be obtained. The team easily won the tender, and soon the musicians were already "blowing up" the dance floor for 1000 people on weekends.
