The worldwide fame of the Californian line-up is confirmed by multimillion-dollar auditions, systematic hits in the tops of international charts, as well as high marks from famous music and art critics.

The beginning of the history of the Rival Sons

The American band Rival Sons was formed in 2012 in the US state of California. The original direction of the band's work (which the guys adhere to now) is classic hard rock with hints of a modern, slightly alternative sound. To date, the first and only producer of the Rival Song team is Dave Cobb, the owner of the legendary music studio in Nashville.

The company, which consists of professional musicians and operates under the guidance of a real master producer, has achieved incredible success since the release of the first record. The brand became a permanent fixture on the American and European charts, captivating modern rock listeners with such works as Great Western Valkyrie and Hollow Bones.

Group members

The Rival Sons quartet, created almost 13 years ago, consists of famous musicians. Artists that form the backbone of the popular group include: Scott Holiday, Robin Everhart, Michael Miley and Jay Buchanan.

From the first songs, the band showed their interest in classic rock. It's a superb guitar sound, amazing drumming, and a riff-oriented approach to songwriting paired with incredible vocals.

Shortly after their appearance, the Rival Sons released their first album. The album Before the Fire was released in 2009. The most famous song from this album, Tell Me Something, was used as the theme song for Indy's international auto racing. With their successful debut, the band received acclaim from hard rock legends such as AC/DC and Alice Cooper.

In the same 2009, the band moved "under the wing" of the little-known extreme metal label Earache. His administration signed an agreement with the musicians after they posted their hits on the Internet.

The rise of the Rival Sons

A few years after the debut success, the group presented their second studio album. The disc Pressure and Time (2011) is the band's first real release, since they posted the past tracks exclusively virtually. This work was a resounding success.

The album Pressure and Time took 2nd position in the list of the best records of the year according to Classic Rock magazine. The second album of Rival Sons was a real ticket to the world of great fame. The team was noticed by the popular group Evanescense. The soloist of the group (Amy Li) invited them to her US tour.

The third album, Head Down, is yet another work in which the band kept to the original style of classic rock riffs and blues sounds. The record, which was released in 2012, was doomed to incredible success. The album earned recognition from international critics, spreading throughout America, and even in some European countries.

Significant success of work in the European part of the globe was recorded in Sweden. There, the record hit the top 20 of the national chart, debuting at the honorable 6th position. Throughout the release and subsequent "promotion" of the Head Down record, the Rival Sons toured the United States, performing at the Download Festival with the bands Kiss and Sammy Hagar.

Contemporary creativity

In 2013, an event occurred that saddened the listeners of the Rival Sons group - Robin Everhart left the quartet. He was tired of long and exhausting tours. A replacement was found almost immediately - musician Dave Beste turned out to be a real find for a team with an international name. The fourth full-length studio album was recorded with the new line-up. The record, titled Great Western Valkyrie, was released in June 2014.

After the release of their fourth album, the Rival Sons began working on their fifth record, again contacting the studio of their producer Dave Cobb. The fifth collection of hits Hollow Bones was released in March 2016, as part of an international Internet broadcast.

Along with 8 original tracks, the album included a cover of Black Coffee by Humble Pie. Over the next few years, the Rival Sons performed with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, organizing joint tours.
