Robertino Loreti was born in the autumn of 1946 in Rome in a poor family. His father was a plasterer, and his mother was engaged in everyday life and family. The singer became the fifth child in the family, where three more children were later born.

Due to a beggarly existence, the boy had to earn money early in order to somehow help his parents. He sang on the streets, in parks, cafes, where his vocal talent first manifested itself. He was also lucky enough to star in episodic roles in two films.
From the age of 6, the boy sang in the choir at the church, where he received the basics of musical education, learned to set his voice and got acquainted with musical literacy. Two years later he was chosen to perform at the opera house in Rome. There he was once heard by Pope XXIII and arranged a personal meeting with the boy. He was shocked by the angelic voice.
When Robertino was 10 years old, due to a serious illness of his father, he had to look for work. He got a job at a local bakery and also worked there as a singer. They talked about him as a skilled vocalist. And soon they began to invite him to various institutions, offering more pay for performances than competitors.
Once the boy performed so well that he received the first Silver Sign award. This was followed by performances in competitions where amateur singers competed. And there he also won prizes and medals.
The creative rise of Robertino Loreti
His rapid creative ascent continued in 1960, when he was heard by producer Sair Volmer-Sørensen. Robertino performed in a cafe, and at the same time, the Summer Olympic Games were held in Rome, which attracted many media people to the city.
The producer invited him to a TV show, after which a contract was signed with Triola Records. And after some time, the first composition of the novice singer O Sole Mio was released, which immediately became popular and "golden".
A successful tour began, which was scheduled for the year ahead. When Robertino Loreti first visited France, he was invited to perform at a concert of world-famous stars. The success and fame of the artist spread to Europe and the USSR. He became very popular and gained new fans.
At the same time, he was invited to give concerts in the USSR, but the tour did not take place, as they offered very modest fees. Most of it had to be given to the state. And something else to organize a trip, accommodation, minimal rest. Then it was reported to the Union that the artist had caught a cold and completely lost his voice, so the concerts never took place.
And only in 1989, Robertino finally pleased the Soviet fans with his performance. After all, almost every house at that time had at least one record of this talented performer. Tickets for his concert were sold out instantly. Among the fans was Valentina Tereshkova, who was the first woman to fly into space.
The boy had a pure treble that touched millions of souls through records, radio and concerts. He became a frequent guest at shows, performances and grandiose concerts.
Health problems
The rhythm of recordings, filming, concerts and tours was frantic. The artist worked to the point of exhaustion, trying to sing everything and do even more. One concert followed another performance, the recordings were superimposed on the shooting, and as a result, the young man's body could not stand it. Robertino needed urgent medical attention, and she was urgently provided to him.
Unfortunately, as a result of an injection with a non-sterile syringe, the medicine got into the body, but also an infection. A serious infection began, gangrene began to develop, and one leg was completely paralyzed. With the help of already high-quality assistance, the singer was cured, his leg began to function again. When health was no longer in danger, the artist again completely plunged into work and creativity.
The creative path of Robertino Loreti
Over time, his voice changed and moved from a treble to a baritone. Now he performs pop songs that have become world masterpieces: Jamaica, O sole mio, Santa Lucia.
In 1964, at the age of 17, the singer reached the final of the popular festival in Sanremo with the composition Un Bacio Piccolissimo.
At the age of 26, the young man decided to change the direction of his activities and give up solo performances. And over the next 10 years, the artist was engaged in film production, as well as commercial activities.
Domesticity
At the beginning of her career, Loreti was pursued by admirers, beautiful, young and aged, wealthy and not very rich women. The singer never met for profit or to amuse his vanity. Therefore, he never had scandals because of women.
The first wife of the performer was his fan. However, they were then brought together not by love and passion for each other, but by common feelings for music, opera and culture. The wife's parents were also connected with the stage, they sang in the opera. As a result of marriage, two children were born in the family.
When the singer's wife lost her parents, she became depressed and developed addictions. She began to drink a lot, which negatively affected her career and family life. Loreti tried to help his wife cope with this scourge, but everything was unsuccessful. After 20 years of marriage, they filed for divorce. Unfortunately, the ex-wife died soon after.
The second wife of the artist was the daughter of a famous jockey - Maura Rozzo. She was far from the world of music and art, perhaps this brought them together. They met at the hippodrome and quickly realized that they were meant for each other. In marriage, the boy Lorenzo was born, who became a copy of his father - with a similar appearance and the same charming voice. The couple have been happily married for 30 years.

The performer continues to perform, sometimes traveling to foreign concerts. He also owns a stable and has a solid income from it. He runs a restaurant business with his brothers, owns a nightclub and a cafe, because he likes to cook interesting and unusual dishes that pleases family and friends.
