Childhood and youth of the artist Ruslan Quinta

The artist was born on July 19, 1972 in the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr region. The artist's parents were not connected with music and creativity. My mother worked in the kitchen in a hospital, and my father was a train driver. The family lived in Kazakhstan for 6 years, where Ruslan graduated from elementary school.

In 1982, the parents decided to return to Ukraine. Already at home, the boy enrolled in a music school. Music interested him from an early age, so the young artist studied diligently and graduated with honors. In the senior class of a comprehensive school, Ruslan Kvinta, together with his friends, created his own group and made good money. They performed at weddings, parties and discos.

He continued to study musical art in Belarus, entered the music school in the city of Mozyr. It was here that he became interested in such a musical instrument as the bassoon. And the guy without significant effort perfectly mastered the game on it. Thanks to academic success and talent, Ruslan Kvinta was allowed to transfer immediately to the 2nd year of the Music College. M. I. Glinka in the city of Minsk.

Since that time, the aspiring artist has taken part in numerous music competitions. He mainly performed as a bassoonist. And thus attracted even more attention of the public and the interest of music producers. Before serving in the army, which began in 1991, the guy already had a significant number of victories, awards and diplomas. In the army, Ruslan was enrolled in the Military Band of the Guard of Honor. At the end of his service, thanks to his connections, Quinte managed to transfer to the R. M. Glier Music College in Kyiv. There he continued to study the bassoon.

During his studies, he worked as an orchestra member at the Opera and Ballet Theater and at the National Symphony Orchestra. He has toured many countries in Europe, Asia and America. He also got acquainted with the peculiarities of the national music of each country.

The beginning of a creative career

In 1995, Ruslan Quinta entered the Tchaikovsky Conservatory to study bassoon. His old dream came true - the world-famous Vladimir Apatsky became his teacher. In parallel with his studies, Ruslan Kvinta worked actively to provide for his wife and little daughter. He wrote music and songs at the popular Pioneer studio for Evgenia Vlasova, Gallina, Olga Yunakova, Alina Grosu, Lina. Skachko and others. It was then that Quinta met the popular and sought-after songwriter Vitaly Kurovsky, which became a landmark for the musician. They began to cooperate, earning both money and a reputation as professionals. 

In 2000, Ruslan Kvinta was offered cooperation by the famous music producer Yuri Nikitin. So the artist became the main and most sought-after composer of the music brand Mamamusic. Irina Bilyk, Natalya Mogilevskaya, Ani Lorak began to order songs from him. Almost all the songs of Assia Akhat and the singer Gallina are written by Quinta. Ruslan has developed a special warm creative relationship with the legend Sofia Rotaru.

First, together with Kurovsky, he wrote two songs for her - “Forget” and “Check”. Then the star asked Ruslan to write a song that would be similar to her constant hit "Chervona Ruta" - this is how the hit "One Kalina" appeared. After one of the many parachute jumps, Kvinta wrote the song “The Sky is Me” and presented it to Sofya Mikhailovna as well. Within a few days of rotation on the radio, the hit became very popular. And the composer gained universal recognition and fame. Subsequently, he wrote more than 25 songs for Rotaru.

Active period of creativity

The goal of the musician for many years was his own recording studio. In 2001, the dream came true - a music label with the same name Kvinta was created in the capital. And in 2002, the artist received the Song of the Year award and other awards from various music programs.

In 2005-2007 Ruslan Quinta actively collaborated with singer Mika Newton and wrote compositions for her. With one of the hits Angel, the artist performed at the Eurovision Song Contest and took 4th position.

Together with the popular DJ Konstantin Rudenko, he wrote the hit Destination. In 2008, the composition hit the top 10 best tracks in Europe.

In 2010, Natalya Mogilevskaya invited Ruslan to work as a composer and co-producer at Talant Group. The artists created a new joint project - the INDI group, where Quinta played the role of frontman, author and composer at the same time. The team was unique, since no one in the world of music uses the bassoon instrument when performing pop songs.

Since 2013, Ruslan Kvinta has become the main producer of the popular Ukrainian talent show “Voice. Children". Three seasons were released under his leadership.

In 2015, Ruslan Quinta's song "Drunk Sun", performed by the young artist ALEKSEEV, topped the charts of Russian music channels.

In 2019, the hit "Crying", which was written for the Kazka group, hit Shazam. And for some time he occupied one of the leading positions there.

The personal life of an artist Ruslan Quinta

Outside of music, Ruslan Quinta is also active and in demand. The artist does not like to talk about his personal life. But a little can be hidden from journalists. The composer was officially married only once, which lasted from 1994 to 2007. From this relationship, Quinta has a daughter, Lisa, who lives abroad and is a graphic designer. After a divorce from his wife, Ruslan was credited with many novels. But he does not comment on any of them, wanting not to reveal all the details of his personal life.

Now the composer lives in a civil marriage with the ex-soloist of the NIKITA group Nastya Kumeiko. In the world of show business, she is better known by her stage name DJ NANA. Lovers do not hide their feelings and often appear together at various social events. The couple is happy, but so far, according to Ruslan, they are not going to legitimize their relationship.
