Ani Lorak is a singer with Ukrainian roots, model, composer, TV presenter, restaurateur, entrepreneur and People's Artist of Ukraine.
The real name of the singer is Carolina Kuek. If you read the name Carolina the other way around, then Ani Lorak will come out - the stage name of the Ukrainian artist.
Ani Lorak's childhood
Carolina was born on September 27, 1978 in the Ukrainian city of Kitsman. The girl grew up in a poor family, her parents divorced before her birth. The mother worked hard to feed her children.
The love of music and the desire to conquer the big stage came from Carolina when she was only 4 years old. But then she performed, revealing her talent at school events and vocal competitions.
Carolina: 1990s
When Carolina was 14 years old, she took part in the Primrose music competition, winning. This was the start of a significant success.
Thanks to this show, Karolina met Ukrainian producer Yuri Falyosa. He invited Carolina to sign a debut contract.
But the real “breakthrough” and achievement for Carolina was participation in the Morning Star program three years later.
Already at the beginning of 1996, Carolina presented her debut studio album, I Want to Fly.
Ani successfully passed the selections and won music competitions even in the States. A year later, the studio album "I'll be back" was released, the video for the song of the same name became the debut.
In 1999, Ani Lorak went on her first tour, visiting America, Europe and the cities of her homeland. Then Karolina met the Russian composer Igor Krutoy.
Ani Lorak: 2000s
Thanks to her acquaintance with Igor Krutoy, Ani Lorak signed a contract with him.
A few years later, Ani took one of the positions in the list of 100 sexiest women in the world.
At this time, a new album in Ukrainian "Where you are ..." became available to fans. He was loved not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.
In 2001, Ani Lorak appeared as an actress in the musical based on Gogol's work Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka. His shooting took place in Kyiv.
Three years later, the self-titled album "Ani Lorak" received a significant number of music awards.
In 2005, Ani presented her debut English-language album Smile, with the song of the same name the artist was going to go to the Eurovision 2006 international song contest. But fate had other plans.

The Eurovision-2008 contest "opened its doors" to Ani Lorak. She really wanted to represent her country in this competition. However, she did not win a victory and took 2nd place, Dima Bilan was on the 1st. Ani performed with the song Shady Lady, which Philip Kirkorov wrote especially for her. After the Eurovision Song Contest, the singer released an analogue of the song in Russian "From Heaven to Heaven".
The following year, the album "Sun" was released, which was appreciated not only by the singer's fans from Ukraine, but also from the CIS countries, since the album was in Russian.

Until 2005, she was in a relationship with her producer Yuri Falyosa. The artist does not like to discuss her personal life, so she rarely comments on relations with the former producer.
In 2009, her heart was won by an ardent man, a Turkish citizen - Murat Nalchadzhioglu. A couple of years later, a daughter was born in this marriage, whom the couple named Sofia.
This marriage was short-lived. So, it became known that Lorak's heart is free. The media were full of headlines that the man was unfaithful to his wife.
Since 2019, she has been dating Yegor Gleb (sound producer of the Black Star Inc label - note Salve Music). It is known that the man is 14 years younger than the singer.

On November 12, 2021, Ani Lorak added a new LP to her discography. The record was called "I'm Alive". Recall that this is the 13th studio album of the singer. The album was mixed at Warner Music Russia.
