Sash!: Band Biography

Sash! is a German dance music group. The project participants are Sascha Lappessen, Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas (Alisson) Ludke. The group appeared in the mid-1990s, occupied an actual niche and received a lot of positive feedback from fans.

Over the entire existence of the musical project, the group has sold more than 22 million copies of albums in all corners of the world, for which the guys were awarded 65 platinum awards.

The group positions itself as performers of dance and techno music with a slight bias towards Eurodance. The project has existed since 1995, and over the years the composition of the participants has not changed, although the guys continue their activities to this day.

Forming a group

The formation of the group began back in 1995 with the "promotion" of the work of DJ Sascha Lappessen, who actively tried to diversify his work. Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas (Alisson) Ludke helped him in his endeavors - it was they who gave the musician new ideas, arrangements, put fresh thoughts into the musician's activities.

Already thanks to the first joint work, the guys gained worldwide popularity and recognition of listeners around the world - the compositions were created in different languages, including French and Italian.

In 1996, the group in its classic line-up released the song It's My Life, which appealed to thousands of people around the world.

This track became one of the most popular club hits, and, in fact, laid the foundation for a new musical movement around the world. In the course of their work, the musicians almost never refused a pleasant and fruitful cooperation - a vivid example was the work with Sabin of Ohms two years after the appearance of the Sash! group.

Further work of the group Sash!

Throughout their long career, the group practically did not take breaks in work, new compositions of musicians were released annually. The listeners perceived each track with delight - the music instantly scattered around the clubs around the world, they danced to it at private parties and large events.

Almost every song of the performers turned out to be at the peak of popularity, and full-fledged albums did not lag behind, which also received well-deserved recognition.

One of the group's most popular albums in the club sphere is still considered the La Primavera compilation, which won prizes in the charts in several countries at once, and the group was popular for many months. Music critics and fans of club music consider Move Mania and Mysterious Times to be the most successful compositions of the collection.

One of the projects of the band's musicians caused a special stir among fans of creativity - this is the album Life Goes On. This work not only received universal recognition and wide distribution in all music venues in the world, but also received several platinum certifications.

But the group, achieving such success, did not stop for a second, continued to work on the quality of the compositions, and in 1999 the single Adelante was released, which was part of the group's new album.

Approaching the year 2000, the group was preparing to release a large-scale album - a collection of the best compositions of the group, and some songs received new processing and sounded differently, which surprised the listeners.

New creations of the group

Having crossed the threshold of 2000 and having already released enough material to be considered a successful project, the group did not stop there - the work continued regularly and tightly.

Sash group! recorded the songs Ganbareh and Run, and the second song was a collaboration with the equally successful Boy George project. It was at this time that the musical project began collaborating with other creative teams, and often these projects were a resounding success, which only inspired the musicians to work.

In 2007, the group Sash! released her sixth collection, which included 16 tracks. Some of them were reworked versions of old and popular tracks, which even more attracted the attention of listeners.

As a gift to loyal fans, the musical group released a limited edition DVD with musical accompaniment. In 2008, the band also decided to please their fans with a compilation of the best tracks from all the years of work. The same album also included a new composition by Raindrops as a bonus.

Surprisingly, despite the fact that most of the bands that started their work in the 1990s ceased to exist, the Sash! continued her career, and in the same composition.

Young people practically did not release new compositions, but continued to attend musical events, arrange sets of the most popular tracks there and delight fans with their creativity.

Throughout the history of its existence, the group has released several video clips, which also scattered across the world charts and were enthusiastically received by the audience.
