The Early Years of Sonny John Moore
In 1988, in one of the poorest areas of Los Angeles, a child was born in the Moore family, who was named Sonny (Sonny John Moore). When he was 2 years old, the family moved to San Francisco in search of a better life. Here he grew up and went to school.
The future performer had to change more than one class. He was unable to build relationships with his peers. Being a pronounced introvert, he always liked to spend time alone, which caused a very strong reaction from his classmates. During this period, fights became common for him.

While looking for something to do, the boy saw on the Internet a program for creating electronic music on the Fruity Loops computer. This occupation captivated the guy.
Remembering the gift of his parents, he mastered the guitar thanks to tutorials and videos. Combining his two passions (electronic and guitar music), he created the first sketches of what would later become his signature style and signature.
Overcoming his innate introversion, he began to attend various concerts that played rock music.
Escape and the first Skrillex group
When Sonny was 15 years old, his parents told him the shocking news. It turned out that Sonny was not their own child, he was adopted in infancy. At this point, he had been in contact with Matt Good for some time. It was an aspiring musician whom he saw on the Internet.
Matt spoke about the fact that he plays in a band and there is an urgent need for a guitarist. Upon learning the shocking news about his origin, Sonny decided to take a desperate step.

Once at a rehearsal, the band members heard him singing and insisted that he become a soloist. The band members liked his singing so much that they re-recorded all the compositions with new vocals.
In 2004, the band's debut album, Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount, was released. The album received decent reviews from critics and had some success among fans of rock music. Sonny visited his foster parents and reconciled with them. The group began a tour. At this time, Sonny took on a pseudonym, under which he became known to the whole world as Skrillex.
In March 2006, the band released their second album Heroine. He made the group famous throughout the country. A big tour has begun. During this tour, Skrillex made an unexpected announcement - he was about to leave the band to start a solo career.
Skrillex solo career
Before Skrillex formed a full-fledged band, he released three songs that were very successful. Harpist Carol Robbins helped the artist in their creation.
