Suicide Silence is a popular metal band that has set its own "shade" in the sound of heavy music. The group was formed in the early 2000s. The musicians who became part of the new team were playing in other local bands at that time.
Until 2004, critics and music lovers were skeptical about the music of newcomers. And the musicians even thought about disbanding the line-up. But after another guitarist joined the band, the situation with the sound changed. The group finally found itself in the spotlight.
History of creation and composition of the team
The group was founded by talented musicians in 2002. Prior to the creation of the collective, the members of the group already had rich experience of working on stage.
The composition of the metal band changed several times. But today the Suicide Silence team is associated with the following members:

- Mark Heilmun;
- Dan Kenny;
- Alex Lopez.
Until 2004, fans of heavy music did not like the band's music. After the band's "breakthrough" Josh Goddard, who was then part of Suicide Silence, had this to say:
“At first we were rock and more sludge. The guys and I leaned towards post-metal. When we realized that our listeners wanted a different sound from us, they began to create faster and more powerful music ... ".
Music and the peak of the band's popularity
The band soon signed with Century Media Records. At the same time, they finished recording one of the brightest albums in the band's discography. We are talking about the album The Cleansing. It went on sale in 2007. The LP debuted at number 94 on the Billboard 200.
Two years later, the band's discography was replenished with the disc No Time to Bleed. At the same time, the presentation of the EP-albums Wake Up (2009) and Disengage (2010) took place.
Soon the fans became aware that the musicians were working on a new LP. In 2011, the presentation of the disc The Black Crown took place. The album was received very warmly by fans and music critics.
During this period of time, the main vocalist of the band was the talented Mitch Lucker. On November 1, 2012, the frontman of Suicide Silence died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. The doctors were powerless. Later it turned out that before getting behind the wheel, the singer took a significant dose of alcohol.
The musicians have been looking for a new vocalist for a long time. For a long time they could not make a choice. As a result, the place of Mitch Lucker was taken by Hernan (Eddie) Hermida, the vocalist of the All Shall Perish band. When Hernan joined the lineup, the musicians continued to replenish their discography with new LPs.
They are now signed to Nuclear Blast Records. The band members started recording a new collection, the sound of which music lovers enjoyed in 2014. The record was called You Can't Stop Me.
Style and influence of Suicide Silence
The sound of the band consists of such a genre as deathcore. The band's music is influenced by nu metal and groove metal. The band members noted that the groups Korn, Slipknot, Morbid Angel and others influenced the development of their brainchild's repertoire.

Members of the group continue to replenish the discography with new albums. They tour a lot. In addition, the musicians are also developing solo projects.
In 2017, the presentation of the fifth studio LP took place. We are talking about the collection Suicide Silence. The album was produced by Ross Robinson. The record was very warmly received by fans and music critics. In this collection, the musicians demonstrated the transition from the traditional sound of deathcore to nu metal and alternative metal.
The presentation of the sixth studio album took place in 2020. The release of the LP was a pleasant surprise for most of the fans. The record was called Become the Hunter.
