The Script is a rock band from Ireland. It was established in 2005 in Dublin.

The group consists of three members, two of whom are founders:
- Danny O'Donoghue - lead vocals, keyboards, guitars
- Mark Sheehan - guitars, backing vocals
- Glen Power - percussion, backing vocals
How it all began…
The group was created by two members - Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan. They used to be in another band called Mytown. However, one of her albums was a "failure". Then the group broke up. The guys decided to move to the USA.
There, the guys seriously engaged in activities that affected production. They collaborated with many famous performers.
A few years later, talented guys came up with the idea of creating their own group. Then the guys decided to continue their activities in their homeland, in Ireland.
The group founded its creative life in the city of Dublin. Already there, Glen Power, who was responsible for percussion instruments, decided to join them. It happened in 2004. Together they worked together only next year, then the group was created.
Formation of the Script group
In the spring of 2007, the guys signed a contract agreement with the Phonogenic label. A year later, the famous debut single We Cry was released. It began to be broadcast on all popular radio stations in England. Thus, the group received the first wave of fame.
They then released another single, The Man Who Can't Be Moved. It became even more successful and peaked at #2 and #3 in the UK and Ireland charts. Then the group began to express itself even more. They were very purposeful and promising newcomers.
In July 2010, the band released their second studio album. It was called Science & Faith. For the First Time is considered the lead song of this album. The album was released in September.
The song The Script, thundered all over the world
At the end of the last autumn month of 2011, after the tour in support of the second album was over, the band announced that they were working on a new third studio album. As a result, the album "#3" was released only a year later, in September.
Probably everyone knows the track Hall of Fame, which became famous all over the world. Various videos were made under it and used everywhere.
2014-2016
During this period of time, the guys released a new album, No Sound Without Silence. Then, in support of the album, the guys carried out a tour that lasted 9 months. During this period, the guys played 56 concerts, visiting Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North America.
After a long creative work, the guys announced a "vacation". The reason for these "holidays" was not only the desire to relax, but also the planned operation on the throat of one of the members of the group.
2017-2019
After a short rest, the guys took up the fifth album, which was released in 2017 and was known to the world as Freedom Child. Although this album received negative criticism, it still managed to become No. 1 in Ireland, Scotland, in the United Kingdom.
In 2018, at the next concert, the band treated their listeners to drinks in honor of the celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Thus, the group bought 8 thousand drinks for their "fans". This event set a new world record.
The Script today
The beginning of 2019 is marked by rumors about the release of the next album. And indeed, in November of this year, the guys released a creation called Sunsets & Full Moons. The collection included 9 songs, where the main song was the track The Last Time.
About the life of the members of The Script
Danny O'Donoghue
Danny O'Donoghue is one of Ireland's most famous musicians and one of the founding members of The Script. Born October 3, 1979 in Dublin.
His family was musical. My father was in The Dreamers. Perhaps because of this, Danny developed a special love for music. Since childhood, the child dreamed of devoting himself to a musical career, so he dropped out of school.
With Mark Sheehan, he was very friendly for many years, so both developed in the same direction. They soon moved to Los Angeles, where they wrote various lyrics for songs for up-and-coming artists. Young singers were popular, after which they wanted to create their own project.
For four years, Danny's girlfriend was Irma Mali (a model from Lithuania). They met on the set of one of the video clips. Then the couple broke up.
Mark Sheehan
Mark Sheehan is currently the guitarist for The Script. He was previously a member of the boy band MyTown along with his current bandmate Danny O'Donoghue.
Both Sheehan and O'Donoghue contributed to two tracks featured on Peter Andre's album The Long Road Back before continuing their careers as musicians in their own band. He has a wife, Rina Shihan, and children were born in this marriage.
Glen Power
Glen Power is currently the drummer for The Script and is also responsible for backing vocals. Glen was born on July 5, 1978 in Dublin.
He was inspired to play the drums by his mother. At the age of 8, the boy studied this marvelous instrument. Soon, Ireland heard the game on this musical instrument. Glen is married. However, little is known about the wife. He has a son, Luke.
