History of creation and composition of the group Uma2rman

Vladimir and Sergey Kristovsky are the permanent founders and leaders of the musical group. The brothers were born on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod. Vladimir and Sergey were fond of music from early childhood.

Having barely graduated from high school, the brothers turned their creative ideas into reality: Sergey Kristovsky took up the guitar, and then tried himself in groups: Sherwood, Broadway and Country Saloon. Vladimir immediately decided to create his own team "View from above".

Having gained experience, the Kristovsky brothers decided to join forces and create a common project, which, in fact, was called Uma2rman. The musicians immediately set about writing their debut album. Later they presented a disc, which included 15 tracks.

Vladimir took on the role of vocalist, while Sergey was responsible for the arrangement and musical design of the record. An interesting embarrassment came with the choice of the name of the team.

The brothers decided to name the group after their favorite actress Uma Thurman. But to avoid problems with the law, they had to remove the initials of the American diva, and the result pleased them. Uma2rman sounded and looked good.

The debut album by unknown performers was sent to all kinds of music studios. However, unfortunately, no one responded to produce Uma2rman.

Fortunately, the disc fell into the hands of the famous rock singer Zemfira. The singer listened to the track "Praskovya" and literally fell in love with the work of the guys.

Zemfira's manager contacted the Kristovsky brothers and invited them to come to Moscow to perform with the singer on the same stage.

In 2003, the Uma2rman group performed on the same stage with Ramazanova. The tracks of the guys were evaluated by Zemfira's audience. Thus, in 2003, the Uma2rman group lit their lucky star.

The creative path and music of the Umaturman group

After the presentation of the track "Praskovya" the song became a real hit. The composition was sung in different parts of the Russian Federation. In the spring of 2003, a video clip appeared on the track.

The clip is colorful. Filming was carried out in sunny Yalta. The video clip featured 18 long-legged models. A year later, the musicians presented the studio disc "In the City of N" to the fans.

From now on, the tracks "Praskovi" and "Uma Thurman" have become the visiting cards of the group. However, music lovers were delighted when the brothers presented the soundtrack to the sensational film "Night Watch".

The track about Anton Gorodetsky (the main character of the "Night Watch") for a long time occupied the leading position in the music charts.

The soloists of the Uma2rman group did not expect that the debut album would be so popular. The disc received the status of platinum (according to some radio stations and the media). In addition, the disc added to the treasury of the Kristovsky brothers' awards with the prestigious statuette of the MTV Russian Music Awards in the "Discovery of the Year" nomination.

Brothers Kristovskie practically implemented all their plans into reality. Now they dreamed of performing the track "Uma Thurman" in front of the actress and director Quentin Tarantino herself.

The first failed, but before Tarantino, the guys still performed and handed him their debut album. Quentin was pleased with the performance of the musicians, and he accepted the gift with a smile on his face.

The group's second album "Uma Thurman"

In 2005, the Uma2rman group replenished their own discography with the second disc, “Maybe this is a dream?…”. The Kristovsky brothers did not change the tradition, and one of the tracks was dedicated to an American actress.

True, they immediately ran into misunderstandings. Some music critics began to say that the musicians have become obsolete, and the songs are no different from the debut album. But what critics don't like resonates with music lovers. The disc was warmly received by Uma2rman fans.

In support of the second studio album, the guys went on a big tour. At first, their performances took place on the territory of Russia. Then the group went to conquer foreign music lovers.

After the tour, the Kristovsky brothers began recording their third album. The release of the third disc was ahead of the track, which was recorded specifically for the family series "Daddy's Daughters". The track was so memorable that today the series is firmly associated with the song Uma2rman and the voice of the Kristovsky brothers.

The guys completed work on the third album only in 2008. The main difference of the disc from previous collections is the combination of genres and bold experiments with sound. The main hits of the third disc were the musical compositions "Paris" and "You won't call".

By tradition, in support of the third disc, the Kristovsky brothers went on a big tour. Upon returning from the tour, the musicians signed another contract with a television project.

Now the musicians have taken up writing soundtracks for the cartoons Belka and Strelka. Star Dogs. In total, the brothers wrote 3 songs for the project.

Nominees for the award "Muz-TV"

In 2011, the group was nominated for an award from Muz-TV. The award was supposed to bring the disc "Everyone is crazy in this city." However, in 2011 the award went to Ilya Lagutenko and his group Mumiy Troll.

The top songs of the fourth collection were the songs "It's raining in the city" and "You'll be back", as well as cover versions of songs by Pugacheva and the Time Machine group.

Fans could not get enough of the appearance of the fourth disc. And then the journalists spread rumors that the Uma2rman group was breaking up. Sergey Kristovsky took up a solo album. With this, he only “lit a fire by throwing firewood into it.”

However, the rumors were not confirmed. Some time later, the Kristovsky brothers got in touch and officially confirmed that the group was not breaking up and now they are just preparing material for recording their fifth album.
