Childhood and youth of Armond Arabshahi
Armond Arabshahi (real name of the artist) was born in Atlanta. He was brought up in a creative and relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps the ease that reigned in Arabshahi's house inspired him to show an early interest in the sound of musical instruments.
At the age of five, he first sat down at the piano. Some time later, not without the support of his mother, Armond mastered playing the clarinet and drum set. From his peers, the young man was distinguished by a good ear and a frantic love for improvisation.
He did well in school and was the favorite of the teachers. In his spare time, Armond attended informal festivals and punk parties. He also loved skating and rollerblading.
In adolescence, the guy “in absentia” decided on his future profession. He dreamed of a career as a musician. True, during this period of time, his musical tastes changed dramatically. He was in several bands whose musicians "made" country and folk tracks.
Then, suddenly, an insight came to him that he was literally created to stand behind the DJ console. By the way, Armond was never afraid to learn and improve his skills. The young man began his journey by igniting the audience at parties.
After receiving secondary education, he went to university. Most likely, Armond's parents insisted on getting a serious profession. In higher education, the guy studied biology in depth. Then he devoted all his time to studying, and even began to doubt that he would have to return to the DJ console.
The creative path of Unlike Pluto
His fate finally changed in 2006. At this time, a promising musician makes several sets and sends the work to the production center. He preferred the genre of electronic music that spread in the United States of America under the name EDM.
EDM stands for electronic dance music and represents a wide range of genres and styles of electronic music. EDM is the basis of musical accompaniment for nightclubs and festivals.
Despite Armond's expectations, the tracks turned out to be rather "raw". They were overturned not only by experts, but also by music lovers. Songs "lost" in the network. Failure motivated the DJ to move on.
In search of his audience, the young man moves to the territory of Los Angeles. Here the creative pseudonym Unlike Pluto appears, as well as a contract with the label Mad Decent. After the DJ was not satisfied with the terms of cooperation, he breaks the contract and concludes a deal with the Monstercat recording studio.
Presentation of the debut album We Are Plutonians
In 2013, the artist's discography was replenished with his debut LP. We are talking about the collection We Are Plutonians. It is noteworthy that he recorded the album at his own expense. The work was warmly received by the public. The collection opened a completely new page in the creative biography of the DJ. From this moment on, he will again demonstrate to the "fans" the best examples of tracks in the style of electropop-rock.
Fud and Snule are the brightest songs of the DJ that have not been included in more than one studio album. After some time, the artist released the accumulated musical work on the Heroic Recordings label as the Show Me Love EP.
The DJ spent almost the entire year of 2017 at thematic festivals and other musical events. Then, in support of the singles Everything Black and Worst In Me, he went on tour.
After the tour, the DJ presented a series of LPs to fans, which were available for download on digital platforms as the Pluto Tapes cycle. Around the same time period, he presented the Why Mona project with Joanna Jones.

2021 was not without musical novelties either. This year, the premiere of compositions by Hummingbird and Talladega Knights took place. In April, he presented the full-length LP Technicolor Daydream to the fans of his work. The record was headed by 15 unrealistically cool tracks. Among the presented compositions, "fans" especially appreciated the songs Rose Colored Lenses, Soft Spoken and Wouldn't You Agree.
