"Vintage" is the name of a famous Russian musical pop group, created in 2006. To date, the group has six successful albums. Also, hundreds of concerts held in the cities of Russia, neighboring countries and many prestigious music awards.
The Vintage group also has another important achievement. She is the most rotated group in the vastness of the Russian charts. In 2009, she once again confirmed this title. In terms of the number of rotations, the team overtook not only musical groups, but also all domestic solo performers.
Building a group career
This moment can be called truly random. The official legend, confirmed by the creators of the team, looks like this: an accident occurred in the center of Moscow, the participants of which were the singer, ex-soloist of the popular Lyceum group Anna Pletneva and music producer, composer Alexei Romanof (leader of the Amega group).
As the musicians stated, while waiting for the traffic police, an active conversation began between them, the result of which was the creation of a group. The musicians realized that they would like to work together and decided to create a team.
However, there were no specific development plans. According to the founders of the group themselves, they had no idea what music should be. First, the name Chelsea was coined. An application was even sent to the English football club with a request to allow the use of the name for the musical group.
However, it was later revealed that the Chelsea group already existed. Moreover, at that time it was already popular, as the Star Factory show took place, thundering throughout the country. On this project, the Chelsea group was issued an appropriate certificate, which had the name on it. This became a kind of official fixing of the name for the group.
However, soon Anna came up with a new name "Vintage". The singer explained it by the fact that at the time of the creation of the team, both of its founders already had their own history, experience in the industry. But at the same time, both of them still had something to say and show people. Therefore, the Vintage group had every chance of becoming popular and fashionable.
Six months have passed since the formation of the group until the recording of the first singles. All this time, the members were looking for their own special sound. Since the group was created quite spontaneously, no one had an exact understanding of the sound.
In parallel, new members joined the team. It included two dancers: Olga Berezutskaya (Miya), Svetlana Ivanova.
In the second half of 2006, the actual start of the group's activities took place. The first single Mama Mia was released, which was immediately followed by filming a video. The group has finally formed.
The peak of the group's popularity
The second single "Aim" hit the Russian charts. However, the release of the debut album did not happen very soon. Almost a year after the creation of the group - in August 2007, the Vintage group released a new video "All the best."
This single also hit all kinds of radio charts and was actively broadcast on music TV channels. Several popular singles provided the group with the opportunity to hold a series of parties and concerts in various clubs in Moscow and other cities.
The Vintage group successfully performed at the Europa Plus radio party. It was a great promo for the release of the debut album. The album was released on November 22 and was called "Criminal Love". The completely sold-out circulation provided the group with the 13th position in the ranking of the record company Sony Music in terms of sales for 5 years (from 2005 to 2009).
After a successful tour in support of the new release in April 2008, a new single was released (along with a video clip) "Bad Girl", which immediately became the band's most popular song (and still remains so). The song took the leading positions of many radio stations, the video clip was broadcast daily on the air of dozens of TV channels.
After a series of successful singles, one of which was the very famous song "Eva", the album SEX was released, accompanied by a series of scandalous video clips.
It was released only in October 2009, because since the release of the first album the band had signed a contract with another label Gala Records. Separately released singles turned out to be more popular than the album in which they were presented, but in general the release was received warmly.
Subsequent albums
The third album "Anechka" was released in 2011, accompanied by a number of scandals (for example, the ban on the video clip "Trees", etc.) and broken rotations. In April 2013, the Very Dance album was released, the main hit of which was the song “Moscow” jointly with DJ Smash. The album was recorded in order to "get closer" to the club audience and increase the number of concerts.
The album Decamerone was released in July 2014 and took the 1st position in iTunes. After this album, Anna Pletneva decided to devote herself to a solo career, but in 2018 she returned to her lineup.
Until 2020, the group never released a single album, only single singles and video clips were released, which were popular. Only in April 2020 was the release “Forever” released, which led iTunes in the Russian Federation and neighboring countries.
Group Style Vintage
The musical component can be described as eurodance or europop, which combines many different styles from famous musicians such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Eva Polna and many others.
Today, the band members intend to actively continue their activities - to give concerts and record new songs.
Group "Vintage" in 2021
The Vintage team in April 2021 presented a collection of the top tracks of their repertoire. The record was called "Platinum". The release of the collection was timed to coincide with the band's 15th anniversary.
At the end of May 2021, the second album of the best hits of the Vintage group was released. The collection was called "Platinum II". Fans received the album incredibly warmly, commenting that this is another reason to enjoy the best works of their favorite group.
