Childhood and youth of Vladimir Presnyakov Sr.

At the end of the 60s, several jazz fests took place on the territory of the USSR at once - one in the capital of the Russian Federation, the other in Tallinn. Presnyakov Sr. performed as part of Boris Rychkov's team and became a laureate of the festival.
Soon he went to pay his debt to the Motherland. Vladimir entered the service in a sports company as a first-class football player. After some time, he led a military band. He managed to find time to play the saxophone. In addition, he attended various jazz festivals and music competitions.
Even before being drafted into the army, he listened to the immortal tracks of the legendary British band The Beatles. Since that time, he has been interested in the sound of jazz and pop music.
The creative path of Vladimir Presnyakov Sr.
Vladimir Presnyakov Sr. after the service for some time was part of the team of the performer Gyulli Nikolaevna Chokheli. Vladimir also led several orchestras and positioned himself as a saxophonist.

As a result, the Ministry of Culture of the USSR blacklisted the team, and then completely liquidated it. It was not the best time for Presnyakov: he could not get a job. There is a creative crisis.
Soon he received an offer from Yuri Malikov. He invited Presnyakov to join the Gems group. Vladimir without thinking twice, packed his bags and moved with his family to the capital of Russia.
Presnyakov joins the "Gems" and composes a number of compositions, which eventually became hits. We are talking about the works: “Paper boat”, “Dawn - sunset”, “You say”, “Ali Baba”, “Salute”, “Tamer”, “Summer, summer, summer”, etc.
