Childhood and youth of the artist

Vladislav Piavko was born on February 4, 1941 in the provincial Krasnoyarsk. Nina Kirillovna Piavko (the mother of the artist) is a Siberian (from Kerzhaks). The woman worked in the office of the Yeniseizoloto trust. Vladislav was raised by his mother. He did not know father's love. The family lived in the village of Taezhny (Kansky District, Krasnoyarsk Territory).

In the village, Vladislav attended school. It was there that he became interested in music. The first instrument that Piavko learned to play was the accordion.

Later the family moved to Norilsk. There my mother remarried. Nikolai Markovich Bakhin became the husband of his mother and stepfather of Vladislav. The opera singer has repeatedly mentioned that his stepfather raised him as his own son. He greatly influenced the formation of Piavko's worldview.

In Norilsk, a young man studied at secondary school No. 1 for several years. While studying in high school, Vladislav, together with his classmates, built the Zapolyarnik stadium, Komsomolsky Park, dug foundation pits for the future Norilsk television studio. A little time passed, and he took the position of a newsreel cameraman in the television studio that had been built.

Vladislav Piavko was actively involved in sports. At one time he became a master of sports in classical wrestling, the champion of Siberia and the Far East.

After graduating from high school, Piavko worked as a driver at the Norilsk Combine, and then as a freelance correspondent for the Zapolyarnaya Pravda newspaper. The next position was already closer in spirit to the young talent. He took the place of the artistic director of the theater-studio "Club of Miners". Later he was an extra at the City Drama Theater named after V. V. Mayakovsky.

Vladislav Piavko and his career in the 1960s

The artist dreamed of higher education. However, his attempts to enter VGIK were unsuccessful. He applied for the "Higher Director's Courses" of the Mosfilm film studio. After the "failing" exams, Vladislav Piavko began to serve in a military school.

The guy was sent to the Red Banner Artillery School. Training did not prevent Vladislav from doing vocals. In the late 1950s, while on vacation, Piavko accidentally got into the play "Carmen". After that, he wanted to become an artist.

In the early 1960s, he made attempts to enter Moscow theatrical higher educational institutions. He applied to the Moscow Art Theater School, the Theater School. B. Shchukin and the Higher Theater School named after M. S. Shchepkin, at VGIK. But this time, his attempts were not successful.

The only university that opened the door for Vladislav Piavko was the State Institute of Theater Arts. A. V. Lunacharsky. In an educational institution, Piavko studied in the singing class with S. Ya. Rebrikov.

In the mid-1960s, Piavko passed a big competition for the trainee team of the Bolshoi Theater. A year later, he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theater in the play Cio-Cio-San, performing the part of Pinkerton. Piavko was a theater soloist from 1966 to 1989.

In the late 1960s, Vladislav became a participant in the prestigious International Vocal Competition in Verviers (Belgium). Thanks to him, the artist took the honorable 3rd position. The merit increased the authority of Vladislav in front of his compatriots.

The singer gained worldwide popularity after performing the part of P. Mascagni "Guglielmo Ratcliff" at the Livorno Opera House (Italy). Interestingly, in the entire history of the opera, Vladislav Piavko became the fourth performer of the composition.

In 1989, Vladislav Piavko announced to his fans that he intended to leave the Bolshoi Theater. After leaving, he became a soloist with the German State Opera. There Piavko mainly performed parts of the Italian repertoire.
