The group "Moral Code" has become an excellent example of how a creative approach to business, multiplied by the talent and diligence of the participants, can lead to fame and success. For the past 30 years, the team has been pleasing its fans with original directions and approaches to its work. And the invariable hits “Night Caprice”, “First Snow”, “Mom, Goodbye” do not reduce their popularity.

The musicians managed to perfectly combine rock with blues, jazz, even funk. The unchanging and charismatic leader of the group is Sergey Mazaev. He was adored by all the women of the country, he had thousands of fans both in Russia and far abroad.

The history of the creation of the group Moral code

The idea of ​​creating a new musical group belongs to the Russian producer Pavel Zhagun. According to his intention, the group should consist of good-looking men who would sing philosophical songs with notes of irony and humor. The main direction is a fashionable symbiosis of rock and roll with funk, jazz, punk. 

The producer managed to recruit the main team in 1989. It included musicians from an already existing musical "party" - N. Devlet (formerly a member of the Skandal group), A. Solich (was a guitarist in the Flowers group), I. Romashov and vocalist R. Ivasko. The latter was replaced a few months later by Sergey Mazaev, who previously participated in musical groups "Autograph"," Six young "and"hello song».

The team, which consisted of professional musicians with significant experience and understanding of the matter, was originally called the "Diamond Hand". But this option did not take root. And Mazaev suggested changing it to a more philosophical one, which makes you think - "The Moral Code".

After several months of active work, the musicians presented their debut work - the English-language song Why Do Tears Flow, which instantly became popular among connoisseurs of fashionable music. Later, the musicians made a Russian version, calling it "I love you." For the same song in 1990, the group shot the first video clip. It was presented in the popular music program "Novaya Poshta". The clip made a splash, because, in fact, it was one of the first to use three-dimensional graphics.

The next video work for the song "Goodbye, Mom" ​​was created by the popular director Fyodor Bondarchuk. Thanks to the composition, the team gained national fame and mega-popularity. This song became the anthem of the victory over the coup in 1991.

Glory and recognition

The presentation of the first album "Concussion" also took place in 1991. In December, the group took part in a grand concert in the Olimpiysky Concert Hall. It was organized by the VID TV company. In the same year, the group was invited to perform at the Independence festival in Kiev, where Swedish music reviewers were present. They were so impressed by the music of the Moral Code group that later the musicians organized a tour of the Scandinavian countries.

After the rotation of the second album "Flexible Stan", the group began touring a lot in the cities of Russia. And then went on a big European tour. The guys became laureates of the Bratislava Lira competition. The members of the band changed - drummer Igor Romashov was replaced by a talented musician Yuri Kistenev.

In 1993, the producers decided to draw significant attention to the work of the group and radically changed the image of the participants. They took away the former business card - black sunglasses. And Mazaev, Devlet and Solich cut off their long hair. In this form, they presented their work “Looking for You” to the public. The audience received the song and the new images of the participants warmly.

In 1995, preparing to participate in the Maxidrom festival, the musicians invited saxophonist, People's Artist of Russia Igor Butman to join their team. In the end, the musician stayed.

The following year, soloist Sergei Mazaev was more busy filming the film "The New Adventures of Pinocchio." And two members left the group at once - Nikolai Devlet and Yuri Kistenev. Dmitry Slansky was invited to the vacant position. At the same time, the Moral Code group presented their new song I'm Going and at the same time a video for it. The video work was recognized as the best clip of the year.

In 1997, the group enjoyed huge popularity. The new disc "I choose you" occupied a leading position in all the country's music charts. Musicians are welcome guests at all concerts, TV shows, radio stations. Every gloss wants to interview them, shoot a photo shoot. 

Life in the 2000s

Until 1999, everything was fine in the team, but then a tragedy occurred. Suddenly, the sound engineer of the Moral Code group, Oleg Salkhov, died of cardiac arrest. He has worked with the musicians since the band's inception. The musicians began to actively look for a replacement for a person who understood the artists perfectly.

Three months later, Andrey Ivanov took the place of the sound engineer, who has been working with the group to this day. The band has been creating the new album for almost two years. But fans patiently waited for new hits from their favorite musicians, and they justified their hopes. The list of songs includes favorite songs: "Paradise Lost", "You're Far Away", etc.

In 2000, Y. Kistenev returned to the group again. And since 2001, the group began to cooperate with the Real Records label. The company helped the musicians to release their new album Good News. In 2000, the collection The Best was released, which included the group's most popular songs "Moral Code".

In 2003, together with the Disco Crash group, the musicians created a wonderful dance hit Sky. They used in the track a loss from the song "First Snow" by the group "Moral Code". Over the next few years, the band changed drummers several times. For some time, his place was occupied by a popular musician from America, Zakkeri Sullivan.

In 2008 and 2014 the following albums of the group "Where are you" and "Winter" were released, respectively. For the anniversary of the band - the 30th anniversary of creativity, the musicians have prepared the seventh studio album.
