At the age of 4, the boy could easily reproduce any modern works on the harmonica donated by his grandfather. Slava graduated from elementary school in the city of Kovel.

After Slava's mother got married a second time, the boy and his family moved to Lutsk. There, the young singer was educated in a regular school and at the same time took lessons in a children's music school in the cello class. He graduated from music education in 1982. Vyacheslav had absolute pitch, which all teachers admired.

Remembering the student, the teachers could not understand why the boy did not want to first study the notes of a piece of music. It turned out that he was simply too lazy to read the notes, because he could repeat it by ear the first time.

Vyacheslav Khursenko: Music education

At the age of 8, Slava was presented with a guitar, which he dreamed of almost from birth. The boy independently mastered the game on it in a matter of months. Later, the musician said that one day, out of anger, his mother specially tore the strings of his favorite instrument, because the young man's fingers were literally swollen from wounds. And playing the cello and piano depended on this, on which Slava learned to play at a music school.

During his school years, Vyacheslav Khursenko participated in all concerts and performances, was the main soloist in the choir. He wrote his first songs at the age of 14. But he didn’t sing them to anyone, he was shy and afraid of being misunderstood by classmates. In parallel with music, the guy was fond of sports, he was a champion in lifting the barbell among juniors.

The guy was not transferred to the 10th grade because of bad behavior, he solved all his problems with the help of his fists. Relations with the mother's new husband were becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, the teenager returned to his grandparents in Kovel and entered a medical school. In 1985, the guy received a medical education with a degree in paramedic and was immediately drafted into the ranks of the Soviet army. The guy did not part with his guitar in the service. He later said that it was then that he really wanted to write songs.

Vyacheslav Khursenko: With music through life

After the release of the album, the musician was offered a job at the Philharmonic of the city of Lutsk. The Krai group functioned there, which, with the arrival of Larisa Kanarskaya, changed its name to Rendezvous. At first, Khursenko sang backing vocals, and then performed parodies of popular domestic and foreign performers. And he did amazingly well. After some time, the tour began to exhaust the artist. Constant moving, busy schedule had a negative impact on the state of health. The family began to protest against the constant absence of her husband and father from home. And Khursenko decided to devote more time to his personal life.

He returned to performing at a restaurant in his hometown, but at the same time he did not stop writing songs.

Since 1989, Vyacheslav Khursenko has taken part in various musical events with musicians from the Rendezvous group. He sang at the Song Opening Day festival, where he met the artistic director of the Svityaz group D. Gershenzon. He changed the singer's creative view of music, in particular pop music. Then there was the festival "Chervona Ruta", in which he shared the 2nd place with Zhanna Bondaruk for the performance of the song "Old Man, Old Man".
