Vyacheslav Malezhik is one of the most talented singers of the 90s. In addition, the artist is a famous guitarist, composer and songwriter. From a simple boy with a button accordion, he had to go through many trials in order to become a real star as a result and give solo performances in the largest halls.
Post-war childhood of Vyacheslav Malezhik
Vyacheslav Malezhik is a native Muscovite. Here he was born in February 1947. It cannot be said that the boy's childhood in the post-war capital was colorful and carefree. On the contrary, the family often experienced financial difficulties. My father worked as a driver, and my mother taught mathematics. But funds were sorely lacking. Little Slava with her 6-year-old older sister often remained half-starved. About toys or entertainment in the family did not even remember. But the boy from childhood was not accustomed to complaining. He found what to do with himself and grew up very independent.
Vyacheslav Malezhik: musical childhood
As the son of a teacher, Slava was very assiduous and diligent at school. But besides the basic general subjects, the boy was very interested in music. In the fifth grade, he convinced his parents to send him to a music school. Here he learned to play the button accordion. Often arranged home concerts in front of relatives and family friends. And in high school, his work began to bring, at least a small, but profit - he was invited to play at weddings. But the guy did not even think that music would become the meaning of his life. At that time, he wanted to get a decent profession. And he did not consider a career as a musician at all.
Student years
At the end of the school, Vyacheslav Malezhik applies for admission to the Pedagogical College and decides to devote his life to teaching. In parallel with his studies, he takes guitar lessons. He is drawn to music again. The guy becomes the soul of the company, more and more often he is asked to perform at concerts. And he writes his first songs during this period. But Glory did not stop at a college diploma. In 1965, he entered the MIIT and decided to master the profession of a railway technologist.
But boring studies gradually faded into the background, giving way to music. Parents did not support their son's too active hobby. They believed that music would not bring him any benefit or material well-being. But the guy stood his ground. His idols were Vysotsky Klyachkin, as well as the Beatles, whom he listened to for days on end. After graduating from the institute, Malezhik nevertheless worked for about two years at the research institute. But, according to the singer himself, it was solely in order not to go to serve in the army.
Rapid steps in creativity
The musical career of Vyacheslav Malezhik began in 1967. Together with friends, the guy decided to create a group. The name for her came up with a simple and unpretentious - "Guys". But, despite all the efforts of the participants, the team did not become popular and soon broke up. But Malezhik himself was noticed. In 1969 he was invited to the group "Mosaic" as the first guitarist. There Vyacheslav established himself as a talented and progressive musician.
Malezhik stayed in the team for five whole years. After he moved to the ensemble "Jolly Fellows". But the artist did not stop his creative searches, and in 1975 he got into the mega-popular Blue Guitars group at that time.
1977-1986 Vyacheslav worked in the ensemble "Flame". Many believe that it was here that the finest hour of the singer began. The songs performed by him "Around the bend", "Snow is spinning", "The Village of Kryukovo" became real hits and for a long time were on everyone's lips.
Solo projects of Vyacheslav Malezhik
The rapid popularity of Malezhik as a member of various musical groups is not quite what the artist himself wanted. He was more interested in realizing himself as a solo artist. The singer began to act in this direction in 1982. The song "Two Hundred Years", performed by him at the New Year's concert, brought success and gave self-confidence. Then Malezhik did not miss a single opportunity to perform solo. He even visited Afghanistan and gave several concerts for the Soviet military.
The singer released his debut solo disc in 1986. And the next he gathered his musical group and gave it the name "Sacvoyage". The second disc "Cafe" Sacvoyage "became mega-popular. About two million copies have been sold. And the songs from this collection were the most popular in the musical TV show "Morning Mail".
Vyacheslav Malezhik: at the height of his fame
In 1988 and 1989 Malezhik became the finalist of the Song of the Year. These years also include active tours of the countries of the Soviet Union. Everywhere the star was received with enthusiasm and applause. The singer is actively collaborating with the Record recording studio. In parallel with his musical activities, Malezhik also works in other projects. For example, from 1986 to 1991 he worked on television and was the host of the Wider Circle music program.
In 2000, his work "Two Hundred Years" was nominated for the "Song of the Century" award. Several times the artist gave anniversary concerts at the largest concert venues in his native country. Following came two more literary collections with poems and stories about the life of Soviet youth. The latest book to date is "A Hero of that Time", written in 2015. Literary critics argue that, despite the small number of works, Vyacheslav's individual style of writing is clearly visible.
Vyacheslav Malezhik: the personal life of the artist
The artist is credited with many novels. But, no matter how strange it may sound, Malezhik's heart belongs to one woman all his life - his wife. His first love was a girl from Cambodia named Tana. She studied ballet in Moscow. But due to political reasons, the young dancer had to leave the Soviet Union and the relationship ended there. Years later, the Cambodian returned to Russia to find an old love. But, at that time, Vyacheslav was already a star and was married to theater artist Tatyana Novitskaya.
In 1988, the couple had their first child, Nikita, and in 1990, their second son Ivan, who also became a musician. Vyacheslav is a very good and responsible father. As he himself believes, it was he who instilled in his children a love of learning, hard work and respect for elders. Years later, Malezhik has all the same tender and warm feelings for his wife. She sacrificed her career as an actress and gave all her time to her family. Today, she acts as her husband's administrator and coordinates his activities.
Fighting a serious illness
June 5 is a special date in the fate of the singer. It was on this date that he got married. And ironically, it was on this day in 2017 that Malezhik had a stroke. In addition to a profuse cerebral hemorrhage, other serious illnesses were also found in him. Malezhik spent almost half a year in the hospital and ate exclusively with the help of a probe.
He could not walk and also had a coordination disorder. His wife, who literally spent the night at Vyacheslav's bed, helped him to defeat the disease and get back on his feet. The singer gave his first concert after recovery in a rehabilitation center, where he spent a long time. And two months later, already at a fairly mature age, Vyacheslav and his wife got married in the church.

The singer claims that the disease and the long time spent in the hospital gave him the opportunity to rethink his life. He began to appreciate the time spent with loved ones more. Now the artist and his wife live in the Olympic Village in a large private house. Famous friends of Vyacheslav often visit here. With more than 30 music albums behind him, the singer continues to compose music and write poetry for it. On the air of the program “The Fate of a Man” (2020), he presented his new works to the public.
