MamaRika is the pseudonym of the famous Ukrainian singer and fashion model Anastasia Kochetova, who was popular in her youth due to her vocals.
The beginning of the creative path of MamaRika
Nastya was born on April 13, 1989 in Chervonograd, Lviv region. The love of music was instilled in her from childhood. During her school years, the girl was sent to a vocal school, where she successfully studied for several years.
A professional career began at the age of 14 with participation in the famous Chervona Ruta festival in Ukraine. Here the girl won 1st place, which was an excellent reward for many years of work in the vocal school. For several years she continued to work hard and improved her skills. Then Anastasia applied for participation in the American Chance project.
The project belonged to a production team from California (USA). In it, Nastya has already performed under her first pseudonym Erica. She became one of the girls performing in the general vocal number. But she stood out significantly among them and won the project. The season of the show was broadcast on Ukrainian television, thanks to which Erica became popular. The victory on the project allowed her to receive a number of offers from the producers of other television shows. Thus began the professional career of the singer.
"American Chance" is a show in which the stars of the American and world scene took part in one way or another. Many of them evaluated the musicians coming to the project. So, for example, Anastasia's talent was appreciated by Stevie Wonder, one of the most famous jazz musicians in the United States and around the world. Such praise, which was even mentioned by the media, could not but push the girl to further perseverance in her work.
Confession
After school, Nastya entered the linguistic faculty of LNU. Ivan Franko and successfully graduated from it. However, during her studies, Kochetova had already gained enough popularity and public recognition to understand that her future career would not be related to linguistics.
In 2008, Nastya became a member of the Ukrainian version of the Star Factory show (season three). At that time she was only 19 years old, and she studied at one of the first courses of the university. Despite her young age, Kochetova interested the jury members (among them was Konstantin Meladze) and the audience. Later, Meladze became the composer and producer of the singer as part of the show. With his songs, she finished 6th at the end of the season.
After some time, Erika returned to the project in the season of the superfinal. At that moment, significant success awaited her, because the singer took the prize 2nd place. At that time, this actually meant that Nastya had become a real star. She became famous, she was interviewed, invited to various television projects and expected new songs from her.
Career continuation MamaRika
After receiving a prize on the Star Factory show, the singer was invited to become the host of the fourth season of the show. She successfully coped with this, receiving the status of not only a singer, but also a successful TV presenter. From that moment on, the career continued to develop. The singer's voice was liked by Western animators. Because of this, it was she who was chosen to voice one of the characters in the cartoon "Rio" - Jewel.
After the events that took place, Kochetova was offered a contract by Sergey Kuzin, the founder and head of the UMMG production center. From that moment on, the performer recorded and released new songs that were popular in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
After participating in the American Chance show, Nastya did not stop working with Western producers. Well-known producers sent her offers. Among them were Vince Pizinga (the author of a number of American hits), Bobby Campbell and Andrew Kapner (winners of the prestigious Grammy music award).
With them, the artist created several musical compositions that are popular with listeners to this day. Based on these songs, Nastya's only solo album "Paparazzi" was released. Then she received a special prize from Igor Matvienko and Igor Krutoy as part of the Star Factory: Russia - Ukraine project.
By the way, the album "Paparazzi" was published by the famous Ukrainian label Moon Records. In general, the album is significant for a balanced combination of the singer's hits, which were known even during her participation in the Star Factory show and new lyrical compositions. Despite the popularity of the album, there was no new release. Since 2012, Anastasia has been releasing singles and filming video clips, but the new album has never been released.
The new life of the singer
In 2016, Erica decided to end her partnership with UMMG. After leaving the brainchild of Sergei Kuzin, she decided to start her career from scratch and changed her pseudonym. From that moment on, she became MamaRika. A number of singles and music videos have been released under this pseudonym. Kochetova could often be seen on the pages of fashion magazines. She starred for the Ukrainian Playboy magazine, was noted for shooting in Maxim magazines. Three times she was invited to participate in the Viva! magazine project, the purpose of which was to collect the most beautiful girls.
With the change of pseudonym and image, the new music album was never released. Perhaps this is due to an actively developing personal life.
Personal life of the singer
In March 2020, the girl married Ukrainian comedian Sergei Sereda. She dated him for several years. In honor of the wedding, she even released a video in which she showed several frames from the wedding ceremony. The couple got married in Thailand, and the fact of the wedding was first carefully hidden from the media.
In 2014, it became known that Anastasia is bisexual. She briefly dated a girl during her student years. Sometimes she allowed herself to flirt with the girls she liked. She admitted that girls are very problematic in relationships, she still likes men more.
