Nick van de Wall, who later gained popularity under the pseudonym Afrojack, was born on September 9, 1987 in the small Dutch town of Spijkenisse.
The boy was no different from his peers, except for his interest in music from early childhood. Already at the age of 5, Nick learned to play the piano.

The beginning of the road to success Afrojack
Nick van de Wall went to Greece in 2006. For his creative pilgrimage, the guy chose the island of Crete, rich in nightlife. For five months, Nick worked in different clubs, honing his skills, looking for his own path in the profession. On this tour, he presented an early hit that the public appreciated. The mix was named F*ck Detroit.
After returning to his native country, the guy wanted to achieve fame. He created tracks one by one, trying to get attention. It was possible to record a hit together with Sidney Samson, Laidback Luke. The composition In Your Face took the 60th position in the top 100 in the Netherlands, the 3rd position in the dance music chart.
At the age of 20, Nick began active work under the pseudonym Afrojack. Thanks to the tracks and performances, the artist quickly became successful. The guy created his own label Wall Recordings. He comprehensively worked for success - he mixed, recorded, presented his work. Hard work paid off with the recognition not only of the public, but also of well-known personalities in the music industry: Josh Wink, Fedde Le Grand, Benny Rodrigues.
A year of hard work quickly paid off. In 2008 Afrojack recorded the tracks Math, Do My Dance. The songs became real hits.
They reached a leading position in the country's music charts, were on the track lists on a par with the compositions of electronic music gurus. After such success, Afrojack became a regular participant in the most important festivals: Sensation, Mystery Land, Extrema Outdoor.
The Fruits of Afrojack's Increasing Fame
Afrojack did not cease to amaze with its high level of performance in 2009. He recorded new compositions, regularly delighted fans with live performances. Collaboration with a celebrity has become a real creative upsurge for the artist. He was even more often noticed, put forward to participate in various competitions.
To date, the duet with the Dutch singer Eva Simons is called the most significant achievement of Afrojack. The song Take Over Control entered the music ratings of many countries around the world. The track took the 19th position of the famous DJ MAG's TOP 100 DJs in 2010. And the author received the title of "The Highest Rise - 2010". After this success, the musician decided to record his first album.

Having achieved success, Afrojack did not cease to delight fans with live performances. Only the level of visiting establishments has increased. The artist performed at the Pacha club in Ibiza, at the Ultra Music festival in Miami, at the Electric Daisy carnival in Los Angeles.
In 2011, for the remix of Madonna's song Revolver, Afrojack received the prestigious Grammy Award. The work was collaborative, but the award was due to all participants. In 2012, Afrojack was nominated for the same award with a remix of the song Leona Lewis Collide. This time he didn't win.

After the popularity of the composition Take Over Control, the famous DJ Magazine gave Afrojack the 6th position in their ranking of significant personalities of electronic music. In 2017, he took only the 8th position. Experts called this situation stable popularity, confirmed by time.
