The musical group Aigel appeared on the big stage a couple of years ago. Aigel consists of two soloists Aigel Gaysina and Ilya Baramia.
The singers perform their compositions in the direction of electronic hip-hop. This musical direction is not sufficiently developed in Russia, so many call the duet the "fathers" of electronic hip-hop.
In 2017, an unknown musical group will present to the public the video clips "Tatarin" and "Prince on White". In a short period of time, Aigel's video clips gain several thousand views, and a little later the number of views exceeded 1 million.
A sweet female recitative, weaving an elegant game of rhymes to the nervous pulsation of electronic beats, could not leave music lovers indifferent. Many were captivated not only by the manner of performing the tracks, but also by the way his team members behaved in the video.
History of creation and composition
It is impossible to ignore the fact that the musical group was formed by quite mature creative personalities. Musician from St. Petersburg Ilya Baramia was born on June 18, 1973.
For many years, the young man has been professionally engaged in sound engineering. Back in the mid-90s, Ilya experimented with electronic sound. Ilya created in tandem with Alexander Zaitsev the duet "Christmas Toys".
Soloist Aigel Gaysina was born on October 9, 1986 in Naberezhnye Chelny. The girl herself does not hide that she has always been a creative person. Since childhood, she has been writing poetry, and at the age of 16 Aigel performed on the big stage for the first time. At the age of 17 he enters a higher educational institution. In the same period, the girl moves to the capital of Tatarstan.
Aigel fondly recalls his years at university. Along with her studies, the girl attends poetic parties in the city and writes songs. In 2003, Aigel released his debut album "Forest".
In 2012, the singer became a soloist of the musical group "It's so beautifully dark." In addition to Aigel herself, her boyfriend Temur Khadyrov was in the group.
Imprisonment of Temur Khadyrov
In 2016, a collection of poems by Aigel was published, which she called "The Garden". The poems that were included in the collection described the author's experiences to the reader. At that time, her boyfriend Temur is detained by the police. He was put behind bars for three whole years, under the article "Attempted murder". For Aigel, this was a real shock.
In order not to fall into depression, Aigel begins to diligently engage in creativity and music. Later, in search of support, the girl will come across the page of Ilya Baramia. She sends messages to the young man asking him to consider poetry, for writing music and creating a radio play.
Ilya recalls: “Aigel’s work hooked me from the first lines. Her lyrics were incredibly sensual and soulful. I fell in love with her work and wanted to continue. I knew for sure that we would succeed in implementing everything. ”
Aigel and Ilya agreed to meet in the capital. Ilya had a concert scheduled in Moscow. Aigel presented readers with a new collection of poems. After talking live, the guys agreed. And so the musical group Aigel appeared.
Musical start of the Aigel group
Having united in a duet, the guys began fruitful work. Eigel admits that there was enough material to release a debut album. And so it happened. Soon, Aigel will present the first album to music lovers, which was called "1190".
To many listeners, the name of the first album seemed very strange. But it was in 1190 that the author of poems Aigel spent waiting for her common-law husband from prison. Temur was released in the winter of 2017.
Music critics noted that the first disc, or rather the tracks that were included in it, were very gloomy and dark, and critics attributed the soloists of the group to the performers of the so-called prison rap. "Tatarin" and "Bride" become top hits of the first album.
Aigel poured her personal story into the lyrics of the 1190 album. The singer spoke not just in the language of rhyme: she performs musical compositions in different voices, deliberately places the stress incorrectly, inserts words in Tatar.
There has never been such a thing in the world of Russian hip-hop, so not only ordinary listeners, but also experienced rappers are beginning to take an intent interest in the musical group.
Interestingly, Aigel never rapped. She showed her first attempts at recitative precisely at the time of the creation of the musical group.
“When I was recording songs for the first album, I wanted to pour all my pain, anger and hatred into the tracks. I whispered songs in a nasty voice, and did not know how rap fans would perceive my manner of presenting songs, ”the singer comments.
There were no frank haters from the musical group. The compositions of the group were positively evaluated by people who were in prison. There were also those who did not understand the tracks of the guys at all. But most of the reviews were still positive.
Aigel's second album
The release of the second album was not long in coming. The tracks of the second album were recorded in the "minion" musical format. The disc included only 3 musical compositions - "Bush Bash", "Prince on White", "Bad".
Fans of the group's work note that the quality of the guys' video clips has grown significantly. After the presentation of the second album, the musicians are invited to take part in the Evening Urgant show.
On the program "Evening Urgant" the musicians performed their top song "Tatarin".
To this day, this track is the hallmark of the musical group. And those who did not follow the work of Aigel were able to get acquainted with the work of the guys thanks to this program.
In 2018, the guys release a full-fledged second album, which received the laconic title "Music". This disc includes about 18 musical compositions.
According to Ilya, when working on content, the duo set the task of expanding the genre palette. The song "Snow" almost immediately becomes a world-class hit.

In 2019, the musical group will present another studio album, which is called "Eden".
The release included 10 musical compositions at once, which, according to the authors, describe the existence of any provincial town of the Russian Federation, as well as the outskirts of the capital.
Interestingly, Aigel gave the title to this album. She took it over from the funeral services bureau, which was located not far from her house, where the singer lived until she moved to Moscow.
And although Aigel is a fragile girl, she is attracted by the "dark side", which she has repeatedly admitted to journalists.
For some songs, the guys have already managed to release juicy video clips. The soloists of the musical group promise to perform in major cities of Russia, in honor of the release of the album "Eden".
The group has an official Instagram page. However, surprisingly, news on it appears extremely rarely.
In 2020, the popular duet "Aigel" presented the disc "Pyala". A feature of the LP was that the tracks were recorded in the Tatar language. According to the band members, their fourth studio album is dedicated to freedom, parenthood and the desire to leave behind their love. The album contains 8 tracks.
