People who are far from such a musical direction as rock know very little about the Resurrection group. The main hit of the musical group is the song "On the Road of Disappointment". Makarevich himself worked on this track. Music lovers know that Makarevich from Sunday was called Alexei.
In the 70-80s, the musical group Resurrection recorded and presented two juicy albums. Most of the songs included in the albums belong to Alexei Romanov and Konstantin Nikolsky.
Resurrection for rockers and admirers of this musical genre remains a cult musical group. This is exactly the case when you can say that the guys did "quality rock". Composition of the group Resurrection
The history of the musical group Resurrection is in many ways similar to the history of the rock group Time Machine. The leaders Romanov and Makarevich gathered their first groups at the end of 1969. Makarevich immediately decided on the name, but the Romanov musical group received the original and at the same time unsound name Wandering Clouds.
Romanov himself and vocalist Viktor Kirsanov became the soloists of the Wandering Clouds. A little later they were joined by guitarist Sergei Tsvilkov, bass player Alexei Shadrin and Yuri Borzov, who played drums. Initially, the guys played classic rock, which many liked. But a few years later, the musical group broke up, announcing to the already formed fans that the group ceased to exist.
In the spring of 1979, the history of the Resurrection group began. Sergei Kavagoe leaves the Time Machine group and turns to Romanov for help. The talented Romanov and Kavagoya are joined by another member - Evgeny Margulis, who was also previously a member of Makarevich's group. It remains to find someone to entrust the place of the solo guitar. Then Romanov offers to take this place to Makarevich's cousin, Alexei. He agrees.
Each of the guys already had enough experience in writing songs. Some time later, Resurrection presents 10 musical compositions that get on the radio Moscow World Service ”, which broadcast on the eve of the Olympic Games-80, and“ Resurrection ”becomes incredibly popular.
In autumn, the musical group leaves Margulis. In his place comes the no less talented Andrey Sapunov. Now the Resurrection tracks start to sound more powerful and energetic. The guys go on tour. Sunday concerts are sold out.
After the New Year, Margulis returns to the musical group again, and begins to work with renewed vigor. At the same time, saxophonist Pavel Smeyan and Sergey Kuzminok, who played the trumpet, joined the group.
It's time to release the first album. For this, the soloists of the group take five songs written by Konstantin Nikolsky - the story of "Resurrection" will still be connected with him. Andrey Sapunov performs the composition "Night Bird".
The author of the song was dissatisfied with the sound of the track. The Soviet authorities saw sedition in the musical composition. A little later, Nikolsky will begin to independently perform the presented musical composition.
Despite the fact that the Resurrection group is accompanied by great success, it breaks up. Margulis changes Resurrection to the musical group Araks, while Makarevich and Kavagoe declare that they no longer want to make music.
Alexei Romanov is left alone again. Not understanding where to go next, he follows Margulis to Araks. There he was listed as the second songwriter.
By an interesting coincidence, Romanov is contacted by his old friend Nikolsky. So in 1980 the band was revived: Romanov, Sapunov, Nikolsky and a new drummer Mikhail Shevyakov.
And two years later, the musicians presented their debut album. Later they will hold concerts for their fans in Tashkent and Leningrad.
But, the joy of the revival of the Resurrection group was short-lived. In 1983, Roman was accused of illegal business while organizing concerts.
He was threatened with a suspended sentence of 3,5 years. In addition to the suspended sentence, the proceeds were debited from his savings account.
In the spring of 1994, the third part of the musical group organized its first concert: this time Nikolsky led the process.
At one of the rehearsals, Nikolsky declares that his word must be decisive, since he is the leader of the group. Romanov, Sapunov and Shevyakov were not happy with such a statement, to put it mildly. There was a tense atmosphere in the group, and it was this that made Nikolsky leave Resurrection.
In early 2000, the musical group was invited to take part in the Maxidrom festival, and a couple of years later, the Resurrection was seen at the Wings festival.
The soloists again begin to work on the creation of new albums, but the records consist exclusively of old Sunday hits.
Since the autumn of 2003, Resurrection has been performing as a trio. At some concerts, you can see former members of the group.
They perform top songs for fans and do not forget to repeat them for an encore.

Resurrection spent the whole of 2018 on tour. The soloists themselves call their performances in Moscow and Riga the brightest concerts. In 2019, the musical group celebrated its anniversary - the musical group turned 40 years old. They celebrated this date with a big anniversary concert.
