The Amatory musical group can be treated differently, but it is simply impossible to ignore the group's presence on the Russian "heavy" stage.
The underground band won the hearts of millions of fans around the world with high-quality and genuine music. In less than 20 years of activity, Amatory has become an idol for fans of metal and rock.
The history of the creation and composition of the Amatory group
It all started with a banal desire of young musicians to create their own band. The guys from the provincial town of Kupchino, which is located near St. Petersburg, Daniil Svetlov and Dmitry Zhivotovsky, became the founders of the team, which was called Amatory.
The founding date of the group falls on April 1, 2001. It was on this day that the premiere rehearsal of the musicians took place. However, Daniil and Dmitry first thought about founding a group three years ago. Then young musicians spent days and nights playing the guitar and drums.
With the arrival of the talented vocalist Evgeny Potekhin, who, by the way, came up with the name of the group, the duet grew into a trio. In this composition, the guys first began to give concerts in local clubs and at music festivals. In early 2001 they released their first compilation. The disc includes a cover version of the track of the group "Tatu" "I'm crazy."
As for the choice of the name of the band, stylized as AMATORY, in translation from English the word is translated as "erotic, love". The soloists admit that the word was immediately in their language, so they realized that the trio would be called that way, and nothing else. The stress must be placed on the second syllable.
Any group is characterized by a frequent change of soloists. The Amatory group, from 2001 to 2020, has been visited by more than 10 people. At the end of 2019, the musical group was a brutal quintet: drummer Svetlov and bassist Zhivotovsky, guitarists Ilya Borisov and Dmitry Muzychenko, vocalist Sergey Raev.
The fans of "heavy" music liked the first musical compositions of the Amatory group, so the inspired guys began to work hard to create a full-fledged album. The first collection can be called successful. The only thing that bothered a lot of people was the quality of the tracks. The debut disc was recorded almost at home.

In 2003, the musicians presented a full-fledged debut album with the sonorous title "Forever hides fate." The first disc included 10 tracks. The top composition of the album was the track, which has not lost its popularity to this day, "Shards".
The second collection "Inevitability" was already recorded with a new vocalist Igor Kapranov - a man whose creative life is amazing and eventful.
Igor Kapranov won the title "Voice of a Generation". Interestingly, before joining the group, Igor did not perform on stage and, moreover, did not record tracks.
The vocalist's voice is a real "sweetie" for metal fans. After gaining popularity, winning the title "Voice of the Generation" and four years of work in the Amatory group, Igor announced that he was stopping making music and leaving for a monastery.
Until 2015, the musicians replenished their discography with a new album once every 1 years. In 2, the album "Book of the Dead" was released, followed by "VII" with the hit "Breathe with me", in 2006 - "Instinct of the Doomed". And only five years later, fans of the Amatory group saw the album "2008".
The tracks of the album "6" have acquired a completely new sound. It is obvious that there have been changes and a rethinking of creativity in the team. Despite the sound quality of the tracks, the old fans were outraged, they wanted to see the "old" band Amatory.
There is another event worth noticing. In 2007, the group received its first international recognition. The band's guitarist Alexander Pavlov became the first Russian guitarist to release the first signed guitar model, in collaboration with one of the most prestigious musical instrument manufacturers ESP.
In 2009, the Amatory group, regardless of the recording studio, released the Internet single Crimson Dawn. The audience listened to the works with great enthusiasm. The emotional "color" of the musical group was again easily recognizable by the first chords.
The group's musical compositions have their own easily recognizable motif, which harmoniously combines what, at first glance, cannot be mixed: light melodies and aggressive guitar riffs, lyricism and rage, romance and the cruel reality of the surrounding world.
On the fifth disc "Instinct of the Doomed", Amatory made another huge step forward in the development of their musical style. However, at the same time, the musicians retained the zest inherent in their songs - something that distinguished the tracks from the general series throughout their careers.
The band's new vocalist Vyacheslav Sokolov worked on the recording of this album. Without exaggeration, Sokolov's work in the disc "Instinct of the Doomed" was beyond praise!
Musical compositions performed by Sokolov are filled with passion, rage, incredible vital energy - all in the style of the Amatory group.
In addition to the solo creative path, the group is also interesting for its collaborations. A very worthy work was done by the Amatory group and the Animal JaZ team.
The musicians presented a cover version for the song "Three Stripes". A separate coalition has been formed with the Psyche and Jane Eyre groups.
The group's arsenal has interesting experiments with rappers. The group recorded tracks with rappers Bumble Beezy and ATL. And Catharsis. The music lovers liked the author's version of the guys on their own track "Wings" so much that the musicians placed the song in a slightly modified form in the personal release "Ballad of the Earth".

In 2019, the musical group delighted fans with the musical compositions "Cosmo-kamikaze" and "Knife" (with the participation of RAM). RAM, aka Dirty Ramirez, became the band's new vocalist.
He took part in the recording of the new DOOM album. The musicians kept the name of the album a secret for a long time. The top composition of the collection was the track "Star Dirt", for which, by the way, a video clip was also filmed.
The Amatory group is constantly guests of various rock festivals. In addition, the musicians regularly delight fans with their performances. The poster, the latest news from the life of the participants can be seen on the official pages of Facebook and Instagram.
