At all times mankind needed music. It allowed people to develop, and in some cases even made countries prosper, which, of course, only gave advantages to the state. So for the Dominican Republic, the Aventure group became a breakthrough point.
The emergence of the Aventura group
Back in 1994, several guys had an idea. They wanted to create a group that would be engaged in musical creativity.
And so it happened, a team appeared, called Los Tinellers. This group consisted of four people, each of whom performed a specific role.
The composition of the Aventura team
The first and most important person in the boy band was Anthony Santos, who was nicknamed Romeo. He was not only the leader of the group, but also its producer, vocalist and composer. Anthony was born on July 21, 1981 in the Bronx.
The guy was engaged in musical creativity from an early age. Already at the age of 12 he performed in the church choir, where he began his vocal career.
Anthony's parents were from different countries. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father is from the Dominican Republic.
Lenny Santos became the second person in the group to be named Playboy. Like Anthony, he was the band's producer and guitarist.
He was born in the same place as Anthony on October 24, 1979. The guy recorded his first musical works at the age of 15. Then he wanted to sing hip-hop.
Max Santos was the third to join the team. His nickname was Mikey. The guy turned out to be the bassist of the band. Like the previous guys, he was born in the Bronx.
And now the fourth participant distinguished himself from all the others. We are talking about Henry Santos Jeter, who sang and co-wrote the lyrics to the performing compositions.
The singer himself is from the Dominican Republic. He was born on December 15, 1979. Already from a young age, the guy traveled the world and at the age of 14 he went to permanent residence in New York with his parents, where he met with other participants.
It is noteworthy that each of the participants has the surname Santos, but only Lenny and Max are siblings. Anthony and Henry are cousins. However, the lines of the two families are not intertwined.
First exit to the world
The group developed in 1994 and began to gradually make its way to the world's heights. After only 5 years, the team decided that they needed to change the name of their own team. Then it was called Aventura.
This group has become really unique, because they managed to create a style that has not been seen before. We are talking about bachata, which mixed not only with elements of R & B, but also hip-hop.
The group gradually, but surely, captivated fans with music and managed to reach the world stage Olympus. In addition, they became famous for another significant feature.
The band members performed their music tracks in Spanish as well as in English. It is noteworthy that they sometimes sang in a mixed version, that is, in Spanish and English at the same time.
First shot
The first serious shot of the group was the track Obsession, which was performed by the band in 2002. It was then that the whole world learned about their existence. Naturally, this track was a breakthrough for the band, in connection with which he even managed to take high positions in the American and European charts.
Due to successful tracks, awards began to appear. So already in 2005 and 2006 the guys managed to win the Lo Nuestro award.
The band that changed everything
It was this group that managed to create a mixed style of bachata, which is still popular today. But for the Dominican Republic, the new movement in music was indeed accompanied by a breakthrough.
The team put notes of love, hope, flirting into their compositions, which made them a romantic group.
Decay of the group
Unfortunately, in our life there is no concept of "eternity", therefore the end of the career of a musical group was a foregone conclusion. This is what happened in 2010.
As for the guys, each of them began to do their own thing. So, for example, Romeo Santos went "into free swimming", developing his own musical career.
Today he is a successful, popular and beloved performer for many fans of Latin America and beyond.
The rest of the participants went in completely different directions. However, even today you can meet one of the “Santos brothers” in the Xtreme bachata team.
The reason for the breakup of the group was that they wanted to work on separate projects as well. However, due to the busy schedule, this was not possible.
So the group, which dispersed, as it seemed, for 18 months, did not manage to get together again. However, she managed to leave only positive emotions in the memories of fans and a mark on the history of music as the founders of the bachata style.
