Bakhyt-Kompot is a Soviet, Russian team, the founder and leader of which is the talented Vadim Stepantsov. The history of the group dates back to 1989. The musicians interested their audience with bold images and provocative songs.
The composition and history of the creation of the Bakhyt-Kompot group
In 1989, Vadim Stepantsov, together with Konstantin Grigoriev, began to perform songs of his own composition on the Arbat. Passers-by were delighted with the compositions of the duet, and the young guys dreamed that someday fortune would smile on them, and they would become the "fathers" of their own group.
Once Vadim and Konstantin visited the lake. Balkhash, which is located on the territory of Kazakhstan. There, young people, in fact, came up with the name of the future team. The word "bahyt" in Kazakh means happiness.
Muse visited young musicians in Kazakhstan. After all, there they wrote the most "evil" songs, which later became real hits.
We are talking about musical compositions: “Anarchist”, “A Girl named Bibigul”, “Drunk Rumpled Pioneer Leader”. Upon arrival in Moscow, Yuri Spiridonov joined Konstantin and Vadim.
Later, the musicians performed in Cherepovets at the Rock Acoustics Music Festival in 1990. The triumph of the performance ended very sadly.
The next day, Stepantsov was arrested for swearing in a public place. However, everything was resolved calmly. As a result, Stepantsov was released on receipt that he would no longer use obscene language.
In 1990, the Bakhyt-Kompot group presented the debut album Kislo to rock fans. In June 1990, the broadcast took place on the BBC radio in the program of Seva Novgorodtsev. Then the team took part in the program “Program A” and “New Studio”.
A year after the release of the collection, the group expanded significantly. At the festival of the Moscow rock laboratory, the Bakhyt-Compot group was recognized as the best rock band. The new musical group took the main place in the domestic rock of the early 1990s-2000s.
The composition was constantly changing. The only "patriot" of the group was Vadim Stepantsov. The last group change took place in 2016. Today the group consists of:

There were more than 15 people in the group in total. According to former members of the team, it was impossible to stay in the middle of the Bakhyt-Compot group for a long time because of the complex nature of Stepantsov.
Creative way and music of the group
In 1992, the musicians presented to the fans the second disc in a row, “Hunting for a Human Female”. Like the first album, this collection was very popular among rock fans.
The group became a frequent guest at rock festivals. In addition, she still does not forget to tour.
This was followed by collections: “Undress me by phone” (1996), “There is no beast worse than a woman” (1997). The founder of the group, Stepantsov, is famous, but the popularity of his team, for unknown reasons, began to subside.
The Bakhyt-Kompot group cannot be attributed to a cult group. The team did not claim leadership in the charts.
Stepantsov himself was quite satisfied with this position of the musical group. But the producers from time to time made attempts to introduce the Bakhyt-Kompot group into the mainstream.
To achieve this goal, various goals were undertaken - from inviting sound producers to sending Vadim Stepantsov to vocal lessons. However, it didn't end well.
The musical group continued to create in their usual "dirty" and driving style. Stepantsov's vocals can hardly be called singing.
The vocalist's voice is more like an animal rattle. The band members often borrowed ideas for songs from other Russian rock bands.
In the mid-1990s, Stepantsov received the prestigious Ovation award as songwriter of the year. In the same period of time, he took up his own project with the original name "Stepantsov-Lotion". The texts of the new group were even more radical and burning.
Album "God, strawberry and peacock"
In 1998, the Bakhyt-Kompot group expanded their discography with the album God, Strawberry and Peacock. The name of the collection seemed incomprehensible to many.
Stepantsov explained that the name alludes to God's gift and scrambled eggs. The collection includes "impossible" tracks - from punk rock to the motives of the songs of the group "Tender May".
In 2002, the musical group presented the collection “All Girls Love Boys” to fans, in 2006 - “Chock and Skinhead”, in 2007 the collection “March 8 - a stupid holiday”, then “The Best Chicks” (2009) and “ Reboot 2011" (2011).
The above albums in their composition combined old hits and new tracks. Since 2011, the guys began to renew videography. Basically, the Bakhyt-Kompot group released video clips for old hits.
Bakhyt-Kompot group today
In 2014, the Russian rock band presented the album "Polygamy". Fans warmly accepted the new work. The main hit of the collection was the song "Wives of Friends".
The song was divided into quotes. Fans especially liked the excerpt from the song: "...but real extreme people prefer their friends' wives!". In the same 2014, the collection The Best (LP) was released, which consisted of old hits.
A year later, the group's discography was replenished with the album "Asocial". And the name seems to speak for itself.
In the first song of the collection "Asocial" there were bold rhymes and "unbridled" chanson-romantic rhythms. The track set the tone for the entire album.
In 2016, the Bakhyt-Compot group presented the album Fortified Compote from Rejuvenating Apples. The album contains 19 tracks.
The compositions were popular: "Cemetery Strawberry", "Blackberry, Indian Summer", "Accountant Ivanov", "Atomic Bomb", "Lola", "Crab Sticks".
In support of this record, the group went on tour. At concerts, Stepantsov performed the new track "Unfamiliar Phenomena", which was highly appreciated by fans of his work.
In 2019, the presentation of the video clip "Dropping iPhones" took place. The musical group continued to engage in touring activities.
The group has an account in almost all social networks. Stepantsov published new clips on the official YouTube page.
In the process of life and creative ups and downs, two letters disappeared from the name of the musical group. The group now beloved by many is called “Bach. Compote".
Changing the name does not affect the band's repertoire. The guys continue to shock the audience with frank texts.
Bakhyt-compot in 2021
In mid-May 2021, the premiere of the new album of the Bakhyt-Compot band took place. The disc was called "Alyoshenka is life!". Musicians for the first time in 5 years filled the collection with new musical compositions. The record was topped by 12 songs.
