The childhood and youth of Carolina Katharina Müller

The real name of the star is Carolina Katarina Müller. She was born on July 31, 1964 in the small town of Oss, in the family of German Jurgen Müller and Dutch Corrie.

The childhood of the future star cannot be called happy. The family often changed their place of residence. For little Carolina, frequent moves were a real challenge. In a new place, I had to quickly adapt, which affected the emotional state of the girl.

After graduating from elementary school, Karolina went to a home economics school. In an educational institution, the girl was taught the correct attitude to housekeeping. Müller learned how to wash, cook, vacuum and use household appliances. Carolina recalls that she practically did not communicate with her father. The head of the family wanted a divorce, and my mother did everything to restore relations in the family.

Through the efforts of the mother, the father remained in the family. Soon Carolina moved to Bunde with her parents. The girl liked Germany from the first minutes. But she was very upset because the teachers taught in German. Then Carolina did not know a single word in a foreign language.

Karolina mastered German and graduated from high school with good grades. She soon began studying to be a designer. After receiving her diploma, the girl got a job at a local clothing factory. According to the recollections of the star, working at the factory was a nightmare.

“The atmosphere in the garment factory was terrible. I didn't have the nicest boss. I did not have enough experience to cope with my duties. I remember how I sewed on a button, and the boss stood over her head and shouted: “Faster, faster” ... ”, Karolina recalls.

Creative Way CC Catch

The turning point in Karolina's life came after she met a local band at the local Bunde bar. She conquered the musicians with her appearance. The soloists of the group invited the girl to their team, but not as a singer, but as a dancer.

Carolina dreamed of a career as a singer. The girl secretly sang songs, took guitar lessons and mastered choreography at the same time. The future star took part in various music competitions, hoping that her talent would be noticed.

The singer from Modern Talking heard Caroline Müller perform in Hamburg. On the same day, the musician invited the girl to audition at the BMG recording studio.

Dieter Bohlen signed a contract with Carolina, giving her a chance to prove herself on stage. He recommended the girl to "try on" a bright and memorable creative pseudonym. From now on, Carolina appeared on stage as CC Catch.

Presentation of the artist's debut album

Soon CC Catch and Bohlen presented the musical composition I Can Lose My Heart Tonight. It is noteworthy that the song was originally composed specifically for the Modern Talking group, but Bohlen decided that the lyrics and music were too "simple" for such a group. Performed by CC Catch, the composition took 13th position in Germany.

The song I Can Lose My Heart Tonight has become a real gem of the debut album of the Catch the Catch artist. The record featured styles such as synth-pop and Eurodisco. The album reached number 6 in Germany and Norway, and number 8 in Switzerland.

If you do not pay attention to the fact that the song I Can Lose My Heart Tonight became the top, then the tracks Cause You Are Young, Jumpin My Car and Strangers by Night are also worthy of the attention of music lovers. All compositions included in the debut collection belong to the authorship of Dieter Bohlen.

In 1986, CC Catch's discography was supplemented by a second studio album, Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel. The second studio album is a real top. The tracks of the album are known for at least two generations. Today, not a single retro-party can do without the songs of the Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel compilation.

The presentation of the album was overshadowed only by the fact that the video clip for the song Heaven and Hell, as well as the cover of the collection, resemble the Italian horror Lucio Fulci's "The Seventh Gate of Hell". The musicians were accused of plagiarism. Still, the truth was on Carolina's side.

A year later, a new musical novelty appeared on the country's radio stations - the track Like a Hurricane from the singer's eponymous record. Although all 9 songs included in the album sounded from speakers in many countries of the world, the disc was heard only in the charts in Spain and Germany.

In 1988, the discography of CC Catch was replenished with the compilation Big Fun. Top songs of the collection were the songs: Backseat of Your Cadillac and Nothing But a Heartache.

Termination of the contract with the label

CC Catch and Bohlen worked together until the end of 1980. The stars managed to release 12 singles and 4 worthy albums. It was a productive creative union.

Bohlen refused to give his ward a little freedom. Actually, this was the reason for the quarrel between the stars. Until the end of the 1980s, Karolina sang exclusively songs written by Bohlen. Over time, the singer wanted to add a little of her work to the repertoire. Soon CC Catch left the BMG label.

CC Catch had to defend the right to use a creative pseudonym. Bohlen claimed that all rights to the name belong to him. Soon a series of trials took place, as a result of which the creative pseudonym remained with Carolina.

In Spain, CC Catch met Simon Napier-Bell, the former manager of Wham!. He made an offer to collaborate with Carolina. Soon the singer signed a contract with Metronome. In 1989, the singer released her debut album Hear What I Say.

CC Catch was not the only one working on the creation of the final studio compilation. The singer was assisted by Andy Taylor (ex-guitarist from Duran Duran) and Dave Clayton, who worked with George Michael and U2.

Karolina composed 7 compositions out of 10 announced by herself. The Hear What I Say album sold out in significant numbers. This is one proof that the singer made the right choice when she left the BMG label.

The composition of the debut album included compositions in the style of synth-pop, eurodance, house, funk and new jack swing. Since 1989, the singer has not released new albums. However, this does not indicate that Carolina has completed her singing career.
