The team was able to give music lovers a dozen hits. The guys managed to form their own niche in Russian show business.

The well-known producer Viktor Drobysh undertook the production of the team. Drobysh's track record included collaborations with Leps, Valeria and Kristina Orbakaite. But Victor made a special bet on the Chelsea group and was not mistaken.

Chelsea squad

The Star Factory project (season 6) started in 2006. In total, more than 16 thousand young talents took part in the qualifying round, but only 17 singers got into the project.

Finding guys to form a team is not an easy task. All contestants initially were not similar to each other. They worked in different musical genres.

However, the producer of the Star Factory project, Viktor Drobysh, coped with the difficult task with a solid "5". He managed to find in the guys what united them. And even disadvantages Victor managed to turn into advantages.

At the second concert, Drobysh presented the formed groups to the audience. Not everyone managed to continue their musical career after the end of the project.

However, 17-year-old Arseniy Borodin from Barnaul, 19-year-old Alexei Korzin from Apatitov, 21-year-old Muscovite Roman Arkhipov and his peer from Mozdok Denis Petrov managed to take advantage of the finest hour.

Before the Chelsea team, the guys tried themselves in completely different musical directions. Arseniy voted for soul, Lesha for R&B, Roman was an avid rocker at heart, and Denis loved hip-hop. But when the guys sang the song “Alien Bride”, the listeners realized that they were one.

The song "Alien Bride" "blew up" the music charts. The track took the second position of the Golden Gramophone hit parade on the waves of Russian Radio and entrenched in this position for 20 weeks.

Choosing a group name

Initially, the guys performed without a creative pseudonym. The soloists were presented as a Russian boy band. The producer for a long time could not decide on a name for the team.

Then, on the forum of the Channel One TV channel, an announcement appeared about the best name for the group.

At the final part of the project, the curtain with the name of the group was slightly opened. In the Olimpiysky sports complex, Alla Dovlatova and Sergey Arkhipov presented the children with a certificate for the Chelsea TK.

Soloists could safely use the name on the territory of Russia and the CIS countries.

In addition to four soloists, the musical group included 5 musicians: three guitarists, a keyboardist and a drummer. In 2011, the Chelsea team underwent some changes.

Roman Arkhipov decided to leave the group. Now the group was headed by Arseniy Borodin, Alexei Korzin and Denis Petrov.
