The future artist Antonio Diodato was born on August 30, 1981 in the Italian city of Aosta. The guy spent his childhood and youth in Taranto (Italian province, coastal city in Puglia) and Rome. Diodato released his first songs in Stockholm under the direction of Swedish DJs Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello.

Returning from a trip to Switzerland, Antonio decided that his future career would be related to music and acting. That is why the young artist entered the Faculty of Film, Television and New Media at DAMS University.

The excellent specialized education received by the singer in the main specialized higher educational institution in Rome played a significant role in the development of his career.

During the years of study, Diodato formed his own musical taste. According to the artist, his work was greatly influenced by groups: Radiohead and Pink Floyd.

Among the idols of the singer are Luigi Tenko, Domenico Modugno and Fabrizio De Andre. Such a list of passions explains the focus of the singer's work. His music combines classic Italian rhythms and all the newfangled trends.

Diodato managed to combine business with pleasure

While traveling in Switzerland and studying at the University of Rome, Diodato recorded and released two studio albums: E forse sono pazzo and A ritrovar Bellezza. Thanks to these records, the artist received his first experience in directing his own works, and also gained fans.

In December 2013, Diodato headlined the world famous Sanremo Music Festival. The artist spoke in the "New Offers" section, presenting the track Babilonia. In February 2014, Antonio performed on the stage of the large theater Ariston, also located in the Italian city of San Remo.

At the singing festival, the artist took 2nd place in the game classification of Rocco Hunt. Also, the young singer received the prize of the jury, whose chairman was Paolo Virzi.

In the same 2014, Antonio was awarded a prestigious award. The singer became the owner of the MTV Italian Music Awards, in the nomination "For the best new generation". Diodato then received the Fabrizio de André Award for Best Interpretation of Amore che vieni, Amore che vai.

Diodato in 2016 took up the position of artistic director of the May Day concert in his hometown of Taranto. Among his colleagues were famous performers such as: Roy Paci and Mikel Riondino. In 2017, the singer released his third studio album. The author's disc, released under the label Carosello Records, was called Cosa Siamo Diventati.

A year later, the artist again visited the Sanremo Music Festival as a famous guest artist. Thanks to the song Adesso (with trumpeter Roy Paci), the performer took 8th place in the final qualification qualification. In 2019, Diodato made his acting debut in the film Une' Aventure directed by Marco Danieli.

In 2020, Diodato completed an important task that he had not been able to do for all the past years. The performer won the Sanremo Music Festival, captivating guests and jury members with the Fai track.

On May 16, 2020, the artist attended the Eurovision: Shine of Europe concert, performing at the Verona Arena with the song Fai. The track, thanks to which the artist received recognition from international critics and "fans" from all over the world, captivated the audience of the concert, winning their hearts for the second time.

The singer also performed an acoustic version of Nel Blu, Dipinto di Blu. The track, owned by the Italian author Domenico Modugno, became a hit at the festival.

Diodato on February 24, 2020 received a state award from the municipality of the city of Taranto. It was issued "For Civil Merit".
