Early Dub Inc career

Musicians who grew up under the influence of different musical directions, with opposing musical tastes, come together. They organized the group Dub Incorporation. Surprisingly, but a fact: after 2 years, the first maxi-single with the same name "Dub Incorporation 1.1" saw the light of day. It included several dub-style tracks and early versions of "Rude Boy" and "L'échiquier", which would later be included on the "Diversité" compilation. For the French scene, a band playing reggae is something new.

The next disc, recorded at the beginning of the XNUMXs, became much more noticeable. The musicians were already considered pros: excellent arrangements, perfected technique of playing instruments, even ragga became much brighter.

With the release of this work, the stylist in which the musicians will play became finally clear. The team becomes the "highlight" of the regional scene, but it was too early to talk about world fame.

Album Diversity

The album "Diversity" opened the eyes of the general public. The Ivorian singer Tiken Ja Fakoli was invited to record this collection. In collaboration with him, the song "Life" was recorded, as well as one of the most famous works - "Rudeboy". 

The vocalists themselves perform songs in several languages, including English, French and the language of the Algerian aborigines, the Kabils. The reverb and strong song building in the slow rises evoke dub influences. "Diversity" changes the group's status from local to national.

To record the album "Dans le décor" the band invites the Jamaican sound engineer Samuel Clayton Junior. Complementing his sound with performances with David Hinds of Steel Pulse, Omar Perry and French Guinean ragga singer Lyricson.

The band's next album titled "Afrikya", released in 2008, turned out to be more "electronic" in style than its predecessors. Songs such as "Do Sissi" or "Djamila" are sung in a foreign language with oriental sounds and are also indicative of a change in direction. 

This collection has been successful. Dub Inc filmed their first music video for "Métissage". In addition, this album was voted Best French Reggae Album at the 2008 Web Reggae Awards.

Album "Hors Control". Success and recognition of Dub Inc

In October 2009, the band announced that they would be recording a new album in Germany in February 2010. This was an opus called "Hors Contrôle". The premiere took place in front of several thousand people at the Francofolies de la Rochelle on July 26, 2010. 

The album's first singles, "All They Want", "Back to Back", "No Doubt", received positive reviews from fans. The latest single No Doubt was performed by the Jamaican members. 

Released on October 5, 2010, the album "Hors Contrôle" consists of 15 tracks. Won the most positive reviews and became one of the most beloved by the public. The album peaked at number 15 on the October 2010 Best Album Sales chart. 

The "Hors Contrôle" compilation was also voted Best French Reggae Album at the Web Reggae Awards 2010. An open vote gave the band an undeniable victory. More than 8000 spectators cast their votes for him. The group came to world success, secured by a tour.

Dub Inc World Tour

The Hors Contrôle tour ended at the end of 2012 after over 160 shows in 27 different countries. Namely - Algeria, Germany, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Colombia, Canada, Croatia, Spain, USA, France, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, India, Jamaica, New Caledonia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania , Serbia, Senegal, Slovakia and Switzerland. With this world tour, Dub Inc confirmed their status as the flagship band of the European reggae scene.

After a tour of Eastern Europe, the group even performed for the first time in South America in Bogota (Colombia). The best end of the tour was the performance of Dub Inc. in front of 90 people at the Fête de l'Humanité.

In November 2012, Dub Inc closed this tour with a tour of India. Concerts were seen in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. And it was the first tour of the French group performing in this style.

Album "Paradise"

On May 15, 2013, the band announced the release of their new album titled "Paradise". After several teasers posted through the band's Facebook account, the first track titled "Paradise" was released. It was viewed over 100 times on Youtube in a few weeks. The group also released their second single "Better Run" online.

The group's creative piggy bank includes 5 albums, 2 EPs and 2 collections of live concerts.

Dub Incorporation is part of the Massa Sound collective, bringing together reggae, ragga and the Saint Etienne dub scene.
