Eskimo Callboy is a German electroniccore band that was formed in early 2010 in Castrop-Rauxel. Despite the fact that for almost 10 years of existence, the group managed to release only 4 full-length albums and one mini-album, the guys quickly earned worldwide popularity.
Their humorous songs dedicated to parties and ironic life situations leave no one indifferent, and the mixture of electronics and hard rock in the sound helps to get fans of different musical styles. The guys jokingly call their own style of music "electro-metal porn".
History of the Eskimo Kolboy group
The history of the creation of the team began a year before the official date. Then the band members, along with vocalist Sherina Theizen, founded a metalcore band called Her Smile In Grief. The group managed to release one album, Emotions May Vary, after which the vocalist left the guys.
In order not to finish just the job they started, the guys create a group with male members and vocals. The new group was named Eskimo Callboy. Despite the general association, the guys have nothing in common not with the Eskimos, not with the "call" boys.
The initial line-up of the group were: Daniel Klossek, Daniel Hanis, Michael Malicki, Pascal Schillo, Kevin Ratajczak and Sebastian Bistler, who became the vocalist instead of Sherina.
The sound of the guys is often compared to Attack Attack! and Asking Alexandria. But their potential will allow musicians to bring their fresh live note to this musical direction. They have everything they need to break into the world of music and secure their position in it.
In the summer of 2010, the guys release their first mini-album "Eskimo Callboy", which consists of 6 tracks. The songs that were featured prior to the official release of the album are “Monsieur Moustache Versus Clitcat” and “Hey Mrs. Dramaqueen”, at this time, have already managed to collect more than 100 thousand plays. The guys also presented a cover of Katy Perry's song and even released a video clip for it.
At first, the guys act as an opening act for the following bands such as Bakkushan, Callejon, Ohrbooten, We Butter The Bread With Butter, Neaera. They were also invited for joint performances by Casper, Distance in Embrace and Rantanplan and other German artists.
December 9, 2011 the first single of the new album "Is Anyone Up", and immediately show the video for this song.
The band's first full-length album was heard by the world on March 23, 2012. The album was called Bury Me in Vegas (translated from English - "Bury me in Las Vegas"), and was successfully sold around the world.
After the release of the album, the band performed several concerts in Japan, participating in the Geki Rock tour. Then she went on a tour of the cities of Russia and China, along with the German metal band Callejon. And then she took part in several concerts of the group Asking Alexandria.
After returning from the tour, the band announced the sad news that drummer Michael Malicki had decided to leave the band. The guys had to forget about the concerts and direct all their efforts to finding a new member. So David Friedrich appeared in the group, who continues to play with the guys today.
In the summer of 2013, the group is invited to the large-scale Wacken Open Air festival, where they win the hearts of new fans.
At the beginning of 2014, the second album of the guys, We Are the Mess, was released (translated from English - “We are a mess”). The cover of the album features the German thrash model Hellcat.any. The album gained popularity in many countries and broke the sales record compared to the first.
The group goes on the first independent concert tour, visiting the cities of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
The group's third album is released on March 20, 2015, it was called Crystals (translated from English. "Crystals"). Immediately after the release, the guys again go on a European tour, visiting Belarus and Russia again, where the audience has already managed to fall in love with them.
After returning from the tour, the guys immediately begin to lay out the dates of new concerts. They went on the third tour in 2016 and visited even more cities where loyal fans were waiting for them.
The guys devote the first half of 2017 to filming and releasing 3 new videos for the songs "VIP", "MC Thunder" and The Scene, in which Chris "Fronz" Fronzak from the American band Attila took part.
The fourth studio album "Eskimos" was released on August 25, 2017. An unexpected surprise for Russian fans was a joint track with the Russian band Little Big, called "Nightlife".
After the release of the albums, the guys actively performed at festivals, released video works, and also gave solo concerts and did not present new material for a long time.
Present Eskimo Callboy
The musicians promise to present their fifth album, called "Rehab", in early November 2019. After that, apparently, they will go on another large-scale tour, which will cover even more cities.
The first track from the new album, which can already be heard on the Internet, is called "Hurricane". Its release took place on August 30, 2019.
Together with the new song, the guys pleased the fans with a new bright video.
In the clip, they show how they spend time with one of their loyal fans, who, along with a mail-ordered album, received a "golden ticket" that allows them to spend a whole day with their favorite group.
In the work, you can see how the guys have fun, play golf, drive cars, fool around, drink, fly in a private jet, play beer pong and even take the golden ticket holder on stage during one of their performances.
The video has already gained almost 200 thousand views on YouTube and has become one of the group's most discussed clips.
Loyal fans have become jealous of the guy in the video and are actively discussing their hopes of getting the same ticket along with the guys' fifth album.
In the meantime, fans can only wait for November to appreciate the new stream of creativity Eskimo Callboy, which, judging by the first track, will bring the guys even more fans around the world.
