Other bands of the era of change can only envy the musical group Freestyle. The popularity of the team stretched for as much as 30 years.

History and composition

In the fall of 1988, Mikhail Muromov announced that the Aerobatics team was ceasing to exist.

The members of the instrumental group decided to create their own project under the direction of the songwriter Anatoly Rozanov.

Young performers chose a name for a long time. The words were spinning in their head: pioneer, eaglet ... but the victory was won by the word "freestyle" - free style.

The name, as it were, revealed the essence of the group's compositions.

The Freestyle group was not tied to a particular musical style. Soloists constantly experimented with their repertoire. But this is exactly what delighted fans of their work.

Almost all musical styles could be found in Freestyle's work: pop, rock, folk, disco and even jazz.

During the years of the formation of the team, there was just a perestroika, freedom of speech, more than ever, was a topical issue.

The new group initially included: Sergey Kuznetsov, who was responsible for vocals and keyboards, guitarists Sergey Ganzha and Vladimir Kovalev, keyboard player and arranger Alexander Bely. The main vocalists were Nino Kirso and Anatoly Kireev.

By the end of winter, another member joined the musical group - Vadim Kozachenko.

Vadim Kazachenko became a real find for the Freestyle group. The high and lyrical voice of Kazachenko was what the soloists of the musical group were looking for for so long.

In addition to Vadim, several newcomers appeared in the group - Anatoly Stolbov and Sasha Nalivaiko.

The last member (drummer Nalivaiko) was taken for greater entertainment, because before that the group managed with a rhythm machine.

Despite the fact that Kazachenko was able to achieve some popularity as part of Freestyle, in 1992 he announced that from now on he was leaving the team and going into free swimming.

Vadim begins to build a solo career as a singer. Dubrovin replaced Kazachenko. A year later, a new member came to replace the drummer - Yuri Kislyak.

For about 10 years, Dubrovin raised Freestyle to the first lines of the music charts with his voice.

By the beginning of 2000, it became clear that Dubrovin was in conflict with the rest of the group.

In 2001, Dubrovin left the musical group.

In the early 2000s, Dubrovin was replaced by Yuri Savchenko. He was an experienced musician who managed to collaborate with such stars as Kristina Orbakaite and Diana Gurtskaya.

Freestyle music

Even before the birth of the Freestyle musical group, future soloists began work on their debut album.

The guys composed several songs and worked them out at a concert of the then current group "Aerobatics".

After the formation of the Freestyle group, the soloists were forced to leave Moscow and move to the territory of Ukraine, to the city of Poltava.

A terrible unemployment and crisis began in Russia. The guys are simply not for what it was to live.

In 1989, the debut album "Receive" was released. The musicians also chose the name for a reason. The fact is that the friends of the soloists of the Freestyle group absolutely did not believe in their success.

But, despite the fact that the forecasts of friends were not comforting, music lovers were very enthusiastic about the debut work.

In the summer, the Freestyle group goes on their first tour of Barnaul.

It took the guys exactly a year to achieve popularity. After the tour, the musicians were invited to television. This helped to become more recognizable for young musicians.

The group quickly gained popularity. The fact that the Freestyle vocalists sang without a phonogram deserves great respect.

The musicians worked exclusively live.

At that time, not many could boast of "live" concerts. Musical compositions performed by Vadim Kazachenko "Farewell forever, last love", "White blizzard", "It hurts me, it hurts" gained the status of mega-hits.

The first video clips are being shot for the above tracks.

The video for the musical composition "It hurts, it hurts me" becomes number one on local channels. For three years of work, Freestyle has released 4 worthy albums.

The well-known poetess Tatyana Nazarova took part in the creation of the fourth album.

After the departure of Vadim Kazachenko, the rating of the musical group begins to fall. The band is looking for a new soloist.

The male voice was simply necessary to dilute the Freestyle tracks.

The rating began to return to Freestyle when vocalist Sergey Dubrovin came.

In the mid-90s, the musical group forever acquired a visiting card - the song performed by Dubrovin "Oh, what a woman."

When Dubrovin decided to leave the group, the soloists got a little worried. Indeed, in fact, Freestyle fans listened to Dubrovin.

The musicians decided to take "their man" as the vocalist. The role of the vocalist was taken over by Kuznetsov, who, moreover, was also the author of most of the musical compositions.

In 2003, Vadim Kazachenko returned to the musical group. Rozanov invited the star to record the 10th anniversary album.

Fans were delighted with the news that Vadim would return to Freestyle again.

Rozanov painted the program. But, shortly before recordings and concerts, Kazachenko announces that he is leaving the musical group again.

In 2005 Freestyle presents a new album “Droplet. Favorite songs". This disc includes the old works of the musical group performed by Nina Kirso.

In this disc, you can get acquainted with your favorite track "Viburnum blossoms". In addition to old works, the album contains several new ones - “And I loved you”, “It all seems to you”, “Snowflakes were falling” - a total of 17 songs.

Over the history of its existence, the Freestyle musical group has become a laureate of the prestigious Song of the Sea and Golden Barrel awards.

The soloists of the group themselves say that the highest award for them is the recognition of fans and music lovers.

The musical group celebrated its 20th anniversary with a big concert tour. Musicians with their festive program visited the territory of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The "Silver" date was celebrated in the St. Petersburg Palace of Culture. Gorky.

After a magnificent celebration, the musicians continued to work on the Freestyle repertoire. Every year the soloists presented new works to their fans.

In addition, the musicians became the owners of their own recording studio, which was called "Studio Freestyle", which meets all world-class requirements. Here the repertoire of the legendary band is born.

Freestyle musical compositions do not lose their relevance to this day. Confirmation of this is millions of views of video clips, filled halls and warm meetings with new compositions.
