Igor Nadzhiev was born in 1967 in the provincial Astrakhan. The celebrity is half Iranian by nationality. My paternal grandfather and grandmother are from Iranian princely families. Interestingly, Igor was baptized at a conscious age. His Iranian grandmother insisted on the sacrament, who gained faith at a very advanced age. Nadzhiyev remembers very well that the sacrament took place in conditions of anonymity. Since in Soviet times going to church was not approved.
Igor was taught to music by his mother. Antonina Nikolaevna had a surprisingly beautiful voice. And this despite the fact that the woman did not have any musical education behind her back. She delighted loved ones and guests with the performance of romances.
When Igor was 4 years old, he was sent to a music school. The boy could neither read nor write, but he mastered musical notation. Nadzhiyev dreamed of the profession of a stoker, and then an astronaut.
In the 8th grade, Igor finally decided what he wants to become by profession. When a school teacher asked who Nadzhiyev would work for, he answered that he was a pop singer. The guy studied at three schools - secondary, art and music at the state conservatory of his native city. As a teenager, he was a soloist in the ensemble of a knitwear factory.
The youth of the artist
After graduation, the young man decided to enter the theater school. He was sure that he would be enlisted. How surprised Igor was when he found out that he did not have enough data for the scene. The dean explained to the guy that he had neither appearance, nor voice, nor acting data.
But Igor was not upset by the words of the dean. He was determined to make his dream come true. Soon Nadzhiev entered the conductor-choral department of the Astrakhan Music College.
The creative path of Igor Nadzhiev
During the period of study at the Astrakhan Music College, Igor Nadzhiev managed to become a real city star. In the mid-1980s, the guy was sent to conquer the country. The young man became a participant in the VI All-Russian pop song contest "Sochi-86". He took 3rd place. After such a dizzying success, Igor did not even think of staying at home. Having packed his bags, he went to conquer Moscow.
During this period of time, Nadzhiyev recorded a composition that became his hallmark. We are talking about a song to the words of the poet Yesenin "Well, kiss!". Thanks to the performance of the song "Our Honor" by Maxim Dunaevsky and Leonid Derbenev, he became even more popular. The presented composition was released as a soundtrack to the movie "The Musketeers 20 Years Later".
The presented composers became Igor's "godfathers". The singer worked with Dunaevsky and Derbenev in creating several more films, namely White Nights and A Child by November.
Igor Nadzhiev proved himself not only as a singer, but also as a talented actor. For a long creative activity, he managed to star in 10 films. He played episodic, but bright roles. Fans most of all remember Igor's game in the image of a gypsy baron from the movie "Smile of Fate".
Igor Nadzhiev's work abroad
During this period of time, Nadzhiev traveled around the Russian Federation. Gradually, Igor's fame went beyond the borders of his native country. In 1999, the singer with the Moscow-2000 project conquered the audience of Las Vegas and Atlantic City. The Americans were shocked by the performance of the Russian artist and offered to work in the USA. For six months, the singer performed as part of the debut project Nebulae in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Igor Nadzhiyev was waiting for at home. Russian fans literally begged the artist to return to the country. The artist listened to the request of the "fans" and hurried to move to Moscow.

It turned out that Alla (that was the name of the woman who walked arm in arm with Igor) is not only the director of the artist, but also his legal wife. In this union, two children were born - daughter Olga and son Igor. Nadzhiev loves his wife very much, he dedicates poems and songs to her.
The singer's appearance often becomes the center of discussion among fans. Someone even compares Igor Nadzhiyev with Michael Jackson. According to observers, the artist, like the American star, has a thin nose. Igor does not hide the fact that he resorted to the services of plastic surgeons.
The artist resorted to plastic surgery against his will. While still at school, in the gym class, the ball hit him right in the nose, which hurt him very much. Nadzhiyev decided on plastic surgery when he lived in Astrakhan. Later, Moscow surgeons worked on the appearance of the star.
Nadzhiyev at the peak of his career had long hair and dyed his lips black. In Soviet times, such a spectacle was unusual. Igor commented in his interview:
“My image was created, as they say, by God's providence. I was cleaning my boots and accidentally stained my lips with shoe polish. Her hair was loose at the time. I looked in the mirror and realized that it looks very spectacular ... ".

In 2017, Igor Nadzhiev celebrated his anniversary. The popular artist turned 50 years old. In honor of this event, the singer organized a number of concerts. Interestingly, the performances took place in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. In his small homeland, Igor's merits were also noted. From the hands of the Governor of the Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin, he received the medal of the Order of Merit for the Astrakhan Region.
2018 has been just as busy. Igor Nadzhiev held a number of concerts. In the same year, but in the fall, together with Ekaterina Shavrina, he invited fans of his work to a joint performance at the Moskvich Cultural Center. Igor and Ekaterina delighted the audience with the program "Free Will ...".
In 2019, Igor Nadzhiev's solo concert "Happy Birthday" took place. The singer delighted fans with the performance of old compositions. The artist's concerts, which were supposed to take place, were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the autumn of the same year, Igor pleased his fans with a performance in Moscow.
