Russian-speaking rapper of Azerbaijani origin Ja Khalib was born on September 29, 1993 in the city of Alma-Ata, in an average family, parents are ordinary people whose life was not connected with big show business.
The father raised his son in classical oriental traditions, instilled a philosophical attitude to fate.
However, acquaintance with music began from early childhood. The artist's uncles played the button accordion and clarinet, and his mother played the piano superbly.

In addition to a regular school, the performer entered a music school in the saxophone class. He successfully graduated, having learned to play the instrument.
During the years of study, he was not an exemplary student and, if possible, skipped such uninteresting, boring subjects as: solfeggio, musical literacy and literature.
Despite missing classes, he warmly recalls the time when competent awareness came, the formation of taste. Thanks to his older brother, he got acquainted with the work of foreign rap artists, by the age of 6 he began to show interest in hip-hop.
He was fascinated by DMX, Onyx and Swizz Beatz, as well as the tracks of the team from Rostov "Casta" and the Moscow group "Dots", which inspired the boy to write the first track "Expenses".
He wrote the text himself, and he picked up a suitable melody from an existing song. Bakhtiyar recalls this episode with a smile and awe, where he is a “little gangster” with a karaoke microphone in his hands.
When the boy was 12 years old, the family faced great national troubles.
People of certain statements decided that the Mamedovs no longer have the right to work in Kazakhstan and took absolutely everything, leaving them in the open.
After that situation, they had to huddle for 6 years in the abandoned and old dacha of their grandfather. Survived, without anything, they had to sleep on the floor.
It was this case that taught me that nothing in life is given just like that, so you need to strive tirelessly, as well as appreciate life and be grateful for what you have.
At the age of 13, he began to earn extra money in the studio, leveled the vocals, developing in parallel. At first it was difficult, but by the age of 16 he worked at six studios, wrote his own songs, posted them on the Internet.
The pseudonym Jah Khalib became a middle name. Khalib is a fictitious name, while Jah is a subtle connection to the main figure of Ethiopian Rastafarianism named Jah Rastafarai.

The current situation laid in him the fortitude of the spirit. Not wanting to stop, the young man received his higher education at the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy.
At the Faculty of Musicology and Art Management, he mastered two specialties. The first is a saxophonist, the second is a piano.

2018 delighted the audience with the single "EGO". 13 new hits, the video filmed for the song "Medina" gained 10 million views in two weeks. Also awarded the "Golden Gramophone" in Moscow.
In the summer of 2019, he moved to live in Kyiv, continuing to work on the solo album "Coming out" and successfully presented it. Thanks to the involvement of live musicians, the album became more original and different from the previous ones.
