Childhood Kate Bush
On July 30, 1958, a long-awaited girl was born in the family of doctor Robert John Bush and nurse Hannah Bush, whom her parents named Katherine. The family already had two sons, John and Patrick, and the boys accepted the birth of their sister with enthusiasm.
They had the most ordinary childhood, the children grew up on an old farm in Bexley (Kent). Around 1964, when Kate was 6 years old, her family moved to New Zealand, then to Australia. But a few months later she returned to England.
As a child, Catherine Bush studied piano and violin while attending St. Joseph's Convent High School in Abbey Wood, south London.
She also enjoyed playing the organ in the shed behind her parents' house. By the time she became a teenager, Bush was already writing her own songs. By the age of 14, she mastered the instrument at a very high level and seriously thought about a professional career.

In the early 1970s of the last century, Kate recorded a cassette of her songs and tried to attract the attention of record companies. But due to the poor quality of the recording, this idea turned out to be a “failure”. No one wanted to listen to the singer's voice, which sounded quietly against the background of the accompaniment. Everything changed when her cassette was heard by a member of the popular band Pink Floyd.
A friend of the Bush family, Ricky Hopper, heard her music and turned to his friend, musician David Gilmour, with a request to listen to the songs of a talented young singer, considering her performance interesting, David Gilmour offered to help record quality tracks in his recording studio. And in 1975 he organized the first recording in a professional studio. And the producers of the major record company EMI finally paid attention to her. Katherine was offered a contract, which she signed in 1976.

Kate Bush woke up famous after the release of the song Wuthering Heights ("Wuthering Heights"). This track took 1st position in the British and Australian charts. She married guitarist Dan McIntosh, gave birth to a child (son Albert) and plunged headlong into family chores. Later, in her interviews, Kate admitted that this hermitage was dictated by caring for her son, she did not want to take away his childhood from him.

Already 21 days after the start of sales, the album became "platinum", which testified to commercial success. After the release and presentation of the album, Kate was not heard for 6 years. In 2014, Kate announced a series of concert performances for the first time in 35 years. Tickets on sale sold out within 15 minutes. And the number of concerts was increased at the request of the "fans" of the singer's work.

Kate Bush is an avid film lover and has always been interested in how the film industry works. Many of the songs were written under the influence of watching movies.
