Musician's childhood
Andrei (Ado) Hayat was born on April 3, 1997 in the city of Znamenka, Kirovograd region. He showed an interest in music from an early age. It all started with a music school, where a boy of 10 years old learned to play the accordion.
At the age of 14 he wrote his first poem. Soon the guy realized that you can combine text with music. This is how the first songs appeared. For a long time they were on paper. The artist returned to them only closer to participating in the Voice of the Country project. The guy didn’t study vocals anywhere. He admits that from the very beginning he sang as he felt. Perhaps it was for this that a few years later he was appreciated on the project. KHAYAT gave up playing the accordion. Music still attracted, but he did not see any special prospects if nothing was changed. Participation in the choir could become the limit of a musical career, but no more.
When it came time to decide on a future profession, the guy faced a serious dilemma. Parents remained indifferent to their son's hobby. They did not interfere with their studies, but they did not consider it something serious either. Moreover, they did not imagine that music would become the main work of their child. It was believed that in show business everything depends not on talent, but on luck.
The son was seen as a businessman or a diplomat. Later, the singer admitted that he agreed with his parents. He was not sure that he would be successful on stage, but he had to think about the future. Therefore, I decided to enter the pedagogical faculty. In 2019, he graduated from the National Pedagogical University where he studied English and Arabic. So the future star was educated as a teacher of foreign languages.
The beginning of KHAYAT's musical career
The artist made a breakthrough in the musical field in June 2018, when he presented his debut song "Girl". A few months later, he shot a video, and in December, the track "Clear" was included in the selection of the Masterskaya label. The guy became famous in 2019, when he performed at the blind auditions of the show "Voice of the Country". The performance was so strong that all the judges turned to him. The singer chose the team of Tina Karol. In the final round, however, he left the project, but took 3rd place.
In 2019, he took part in the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. KHAYAT became one of the finalists. For this event, he presented the track Ever in two languages - Ukrainian and English. Unfortunately, the performer did not become the winner. But the novice musician did not despair, and in the summer of that year he presented his first album.
The collection consisted of eight songs and one bonus track. On the same day, the album took the 2nd position in the Ukrainian iTunes TOP-200. On the wave of success, the singer began to be invited to be a guest at festivals. He became a participant in the Atlas Weekend festival, where he presented author's songs.

In 2020, the performer made a second attempt to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest. But this time, the victory went to others. Fortunately, the singer continued to create. He had big plans, but the pandemic made adjustments. However, KHAYAT is now living at a frantic pace. He sleeps 5-6 hours a day, devotes a lot of time to writing songs.
In addition, he creates cover versions for tracks by other artists. He doesn’t see his family and friends as often as he wants, the priority is work. Close relatives understand this and support the guy in every possible way.
Career scandals
Several incidents are associated with the name of the young artist, which at one time thundered on the Internet. In 2019, the public discussed the beating of KHAYAT in Kyiv. It all started with the fact that the singer posted a photo on his page on the social network. She was clearly visible bruises and abrasions. Soon the performer commented on the situation.
It turned out that he and another musician were attacked by unknown men in the subway. They did not explain their actions. At the same time, the singer did not contact the police and did not write a statement about the beating. He says he doesn't believe in justice. Moreover, according to him, during the beating, law enforcement officers were present in the car, but did not intervene. Later, the story had a continuation. During the selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in the same year, the performer performed in specific clothes.
