The "chip" of the team is the use of profanity in the texts. In addition, musicians use couplets, fairy tales and ditties. Such a mix allows the group, if not to be the first, then at least to stand out and be remembered by music lovers against the background of other rock bands.

The peak of the popularity of the group "Red mold" was in the 1990s. Musicians perform to this day. For example, in October 2020, musicians will appear on the GlavClub Green Concert stage. This evening the guys will present the 61st studio album "Take an ax, chop hardcore!".

History of creation and composition of the group

At first, the Red Mold group was a solo project. The group included only one person - Pavel Yatsyna. The future rock star was born on August 10, 1969 in Krasnodar. At the age of 10, Pasha moved with his parents to the territory of sunny Yalta.

Initially, Pasha tried his hand at heavy metal. Yatsyna quickly realized that he would definitely not work in this genre.

In an interview, the musician said that 2% of heavy metal fans listened to heavy metal. After unsuccessful attempts, Pavel was looking for the genre in which he would develop.

Debut album presentation

In 1993, the musician presented his debut album, Red Mold. In the tracks of the collection, one could hear the charming play of the synthesizer, electric guitar and mixer. The vocals were recorded on a home tape recorder.

Even before the start of the recording of the debut album, Pavel enriched the group with musicians. Valentin Perov took on the role of the guitarist Yatsyn. The role of the poet was taken by Sergey Machulyak. In this composition, the group "Red mold" released 3 albums.

The group was not very popular for two reasons. Firstly, experienced producers did not want to take on the "promotion" of the young group. Secondly, the compositions of musicians were not allowed on television and radio due to a significant amount of foul language.

To understand whether music lovers like the group's tracks, Yatsyna delivered collections to mailboxes with a return address. After listening, the person could share their feedback in writing by sending a "review" by mail.

At first, the geography of listeners did not go beyond the Crimea. But still, Paul's enterprise could not disappear without a trace. About the work of the group "Red mold" learned far beyond the borders of Russia. They started talking about the guys in Canada and America.

The fact that the group was created in Yalta also helped the musicians. The fact is that the city was visited by a significant number of tourists from other countries and cities. Gradually, almost every city in the CIS countries began to learn about the work of the rock band. They also talk about the guys thanks to provocative texts. At that time, only the Gas Sector group allowed itself to do this.

Group popularity

After gaining popularity, Yatsyna began to invite musicians, artists and parodists to record. Soon the group's discography was replenished with 7 more records. The frontman began to make money on their release only in the mid-1990s, when the copyright law was passed in the Russian Federation.

Soon the Red Mold group signed a contract with Master Sound. The musicians worked under the wing of this company for about 10 years. Both parties terminated the contract without complaint.

Music group "Red mold"

The use of foul language in the compositions is not the only "highlight" of the group. In the tracks, the musicians did not comply with social and ethical standards. Those who want to get acquainted with the work of the guys, but are afraid to hear a selective obscenity, should definitely download the albums: "Ballads and Lyrics" and "Little Boy and Other Pioneer Couplets". The presented records are unique in that the songs included in their composition are devoid of swearing.

The band members refer their work to punk rock or post-punk. Fans of heavy music do not agree with such a statement of their idols. Music lovers argue that the presence of obscene language and provocative themes in the texts are not a genre characteristic of punk music.

The repertoire of the group "Red mold" is rich not only in author's songs. Musicians often create parodies of popular songs. The team occasionally publishes serious parodies. What the band's tracks definitely cannot take away is selective black humor.

At the beginning of the work of the collective, anti-communist themes were a separate leitmotif. Since the early 2000s, the opposite trend can be observed. The musicians mentioned the Soviet Union.

The group's music until 2003 was exclusively electronic. The band's first records can be safely called "raw", they have low sound quality.

Clips of the group "Red mold"

The band's video clips are low quality flash videos. There are only a few videos from the performances of the guys on the video hosting. The album covers are often drawn, in a caricature genre. In the first works of the Red Mold group, there were photographs of the group members on the covers.

Flash Video is a file format, a media container, which is often used to transmit video over the Internet.

Project Shovellica

Pavel Yatsyna was quick-witted. The fact is that the musician created an exclusive electric guitar from a shovel. And soon he created the Shovellica project, playing only such guitars. A peculiar musical instrument got into the Book of Records of Ukraine.
