London Grammar is a popular British band that was created in 2009. The group includes the following members:
- Hannah Reid (vocalist);
- Dan Rothman (guitarist);
- Dominic "Dot" Major (multi-instrumentalist).
Many call London Grammar the most lyrical band in recent times. And it is true. Almost every composition of the band is filled with lyrics, love themes and notes of romance.
The team plays trip-hop, which combines electronic elements and pays considerable attention to vocals. Many attribute the group's work to indie rock.
History of group creation
It all started with the acquaintance of Hannah Reed and Dan Rothman. The boys studied at the same school.
They realized that their musical tastes are very similar. At first, the guys performed as a duet. Later the team expanded to a trio.
The band finalized the line-up when multi-instrumentalist Dominic "Dot" Major joined the band. Followed by regular rehearsals and the desire to delight music lovers with the first tracks.
The first performances of the group took place in small bars. The way the audience greeted London Grammar motivated the guys to record and present their first compositions. In 2012, the musicians posted their debut song Hey Now. The track was successful online.
Debut album presentation
In 2013, the group's discography was replenished with a debut mini-album. The collection was called Metal & Dust. The record took an honorable 5th position in the iTunes Store in Australia. In the same year, the musicians presented the single Wasting My Young Years, which took 31st position on the British hit parade.
Around the same time period, Disclosure's debut album, Settle, was released. The track listing of the album included Help Me Lose My Mind. The London Grammar band took part in the recording of the presented track.

The promotional single Rooting for You was released in support of the record on January 1, 2017. The work was appreciated in the UK. In the country, the promotional single took an honorable 58th position in the music chart.

In general, the second studio album Truth Is a Beautiful Thing was warmly received by fans and music critics.
